just want to confirm that do we receive some kind of receipt from Canadian Delhi High Commission, as i had submitted my passports by 6th dec but have not got any receipt of acknowledgement from them.

Is this something to get worried for?

hi leo,CHC ND will not send u any acknowledgement after receiving ur passport.
but some get the receipt for rprf deduction.
so nothing to worry

I am working in an oil field and my work schedule is like 35 days work and next 35 days home. So when I get a passport submit request, the maximum days I can keep away with my passport is 35 days. So do you guys think any chances to get the visa stamped a bit quicker (in 5 weeks time) by showing my present visa and ask for a consideration. Do you think it will work out in my case?

If I leave my job and get late to receive the PR doesnt sound sensible to me?

Is anyone here managed to get a consideration to get a quicker visa stamping or knows anyone managed to get it please drop your inputs.

I know I am so early to ask this questions as I send my documents just in Oct 2010.

Hi Sans - I am in the same soup currently I am unable to travel as my passport is with CHC and in my senior role I have to travel to various countries and cannot live without my passport - infact my passport is always in my bag. This is a small inconvenience and it is really troubling me in my professional life. Hope you can take some time off when your time comes.

Same problem with me. Today two months are completed since my medical and still no news. I was to travel abroad in the beginning of this month but I am helpless now. Lot of opportunities are missed due to unavailablity of my passports and still there is no news. That is the main reason of my frustration.

Guys, lets be positive ad we know these are parts of life. Without risk and compromise we can't achieve our goals. This forum is helping me a lot to tackle this situation and believe me most of the time I am spending to check the updates here. Thanks to all the mates.

I got a long way to go to get a passport submit request but just imagining of leaving the job and waiting for a long time is really something to think.
