Patience is whats needed for the immigration processing. It's really difficult, but we have no choice but to adhere. Immigration in Canada slowed down this year as to what is written on this Migrating to Canada site.

Did you hear anything from VO?

ITS ALREADY BEEN 17-18 DAYS NOW SINCE dd HAS BEEN ENCASHED. WILL IT TAKE MORE TIME?

I think we have to wait a bit more.
Don't get frustrated. It takes 3-4 months minimum after sending the PP. That's what I have heard.
So have patience. Hopefully we will get our PP's back upto October End.

AFTER RPRF FEE ENCASHING LAST MONTH, I GOT THIS REPLY FROM NDVO LAST FRIDAY (OOPS I FORGOT TO CHECK MY EMAIL THIS WEEKEND!!!):-
Your application is currently awaiting review by a visa officer.

At this point there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the review is complete, the next steps in the processing of this application will be determined and you will be advised accordingly.

Now what does it mean? Is my medical cleared? What all they are reviewing now? What are the possible next steps??? Anyone got the same reply?

Thanks
T

It means that you application is still waiting to be reviewed after medicals. It does not mean that medicals are cleared or not.
The next step for you will be the stamped PP if everything is ok with Meds. All the Best

Does NDVO send updates about our cases via email? I have not received any email except for the first one from CIO office after initial application was sent.

Hey,
Dont worry that much.
Everything is fine.
Just wait.. wait.. wait..
You dont need to contact VO.
This timeframe is usual and hopefully wait until October'2011 End. You will get your PP back with Maple Leaf.
Enjoy this time. You will miss it in Canada. Initially life would be really tuff. So prepare yourself in this time.
:-)

No, NDVO does not send the status updates. If you send an enquiry e-mail they will respond in about 30 days to your enquiry. They also do not entertain enquiries if you make one before the timelines specified in your initial application acknowledgement

Hi friend, you look very anxious to leave India, thats very good. Take a chill pill man, everything will go smoothly. Ndvo runs on their own rules and regulations, not according to you and me. If you are lucky enough, this whole process will take 20 days to three months. Otherwise tnere are people like me, who have been waiting for more than nine months. So, have patience...

Hi Sandeep,

You got only 2 more months for your medicals to expire. You should be getting your visa soon. Hope you get it soon and have some time breather to plan your journey. All the best.
