Miracle Indeed. 3 people get Visas on a single day & all are 4131!! Best part is all are pre 26 June applicants !

I am writing after a long time, my brother who was on my timeline has received his passport with the visa stamped on it, it took him extra 5 months since he had to travel to US so he withdrew his passport and had to resubmit his passport again.

Congratulations to everyone, I plan to be in Canada mostly Mississauga by end of this month.

Srinivas,

You are absolutely right when you say don't rely too much on e-cas..

As e-cas has reputation being erratic.. But it happens quite a few times applicants receive visa before DM, especially when visa stamped on Wed, Thurs or Friday which is genuine case.. You can see gurdeep's visa stamped on Wednesday.. so may be the case with you..

I think all of your e-cas should be updated to DM tomorrow.. Hopefully few others from the waiting list as well ..

OK brother...here are some answers according to my knowledge

1. Do we receive PPR along with medical request or separately?

yes from New Delhi CHC its a normal practice to send PPR with Medicals only

2. What all tests are performed during medicals and how much theycost?

The test prformed are Blood test...Urine.....Chest Xray and doctors checkup....Amount is about 2500 rupees Per person
basically they look for diseases like hepatitis....HIV......TB....which spread easily....

3. Is getting medical request a confirmation of getting a visa?

No it is not...as a matter of fact it is written in the medical letter as well that this is not a guarantee of the VISA....have seen interview call for 2-3 people after medicals and further-on rejections as well...but you can say chances of getting a VISA are high after Medicals and PPR.

4. How much time it takes to get visa after medicals?

No One knows that..some people got it in 10-15 days ...it took me 6 months after submitting my passports...people say on an average it takes 45 -60 days ....but i would say purely a luck thing....as there is a brother in the forum who is like waiting for 225 days for the passports to comeback.

5. One of my friends got medical request after he was asked to submit additional docs regarding his job and other things. Does that mean he got medical after thorough verification or still verification might be there?

Yes....they say normally they do security and background checks after asking for PPR-Medicals as well.....a team reviews it then the final file is sent to the VISA officer for final review based on which he takes a decision ..

6. Do we need to send passports personally to CHC, New Delhi

You can courier it or send it by registered post....I chose DHL ....they delivered the package the next day......You can write your date of birth.....File number and name of person on a sticker and stick it on the respective passport .. along with it put a cover letter in mentioning what you are sending.....along with a copy of Medical-PPR letter

OMG.. What a phenomenal day it is.. 4 visa received within a day.. A kind of record break in its own way!!

I have been following this thread since about a half year now.. But never seen this much visa received within a day time.. Not even the pick of the Feb and March month, where there were tons of visa had been issued..

I am writing this as since last coupld of weeks I see number of applicants being so frustrated that they start believing that CHC/CIC will put their case on hold for certain period of time.. That's why I want to take this opportunity to show my friend that they people are working on our case (i.e. 26/6), as all these 4 are pre 26/6 cases (not being biased however)..

So guys keep your morale high, may be some day will be written for us.. So don't loose hopes..
