little bit disagree here.. the processing time counts from the date CHC receives our file.. i.e. our File Transfer Date..

Dear manish
as per your message, 14 months start from file transfer date. But is it the time till we get medical letter or it counts till we get the Visa stamped?

I think it is the time till VISA STAMPED

True.. it is the duration of complete processing of your file, so from FTD to Visa stamped date..

Hi,
How do someone know that RPRF draft has been encashed. I asked my bank (HDFC,) and they were absolutely clueless about the same,, infact told me to check with the Canadian Embassy :P :P.
I read many times that people get to know RPRF draft encashment through bank,,,kindly let me know how....

Regards

Most banks can give you this info.. Perhaps HDFC is an exception

Hey Vinay

I didn't have great luck with getting ICICI bank to divulge this, but they can find out from the back end. I know of other people who have got this information from ICICI and HDFC, you probably need to speak with someone at the bank (do not go to phone customer care) and tell them to check their Finacle database or whatever banking database management software they use for the date when it was charged to the bank, not your account. Keep pressing on it and if 1 person cant answer this, ask him/her who can help you. Go to the branch manager if possible.

They can find out and tell you, they just may not want to do that.

:D Try telling them you want to open a fixed deposit for a few lakhs, ask them for a form and while filling it up, ask they guy for this info. Once you get it, you know what to do with the FD....LOL!!

Cheers!

I also have account with HDFC and they are hopeless. Anyways i got receipt of the RPRF encashment, so no need to talk to HDFC any longer. If you know someone personally who works in HDFC, he might be able to give you that information, else not really.

Did you tried phone banking, or went to the bank itself..

As in my case I also tried phone banking first, and when didn't get the answer, I went to my branch.. I asked them to show the status of the DD they prepared for me.. They asked the photo copy of the DD, when I provided, he checked online his dateabase and informed me the date when the DD encashed.. Just within a minute..

My banker is also same HDFC.. So I suggest you don't require to something exceptional here.. All you need is to walk down to your branch and make personal enquiry.. Make sure you bring the photo copy of the DD..

If you are privilege cusomer, and have personal banker it will be even easier, all you need to just call him/her..

Good Luck!!
