RPRF reciept comes through snail mail, regular Indian Post.

I started this thread to estimate time for getting the PP back, we juts got 4 positive on this thread so far and out of them we can consider only two cases drsuja and imran007 for estimation as other two cases have some differences. Based on that it looks like it may take around 45-50 days to get the PP back

In my opinion, 10 months time frame is not from file transfer date but from date when you send full package t CHC. This is what the CIC website says in heading under which time frame is described
"Processing Times IN MONTHS
(based on a complete application package)"
Dear Ankit,
In my case 8 months(from full submission) completed on 4th nov. two months, after medicals(6th sep) have been completed. dr.suja,Imran007 had done their medicals after me.I cant understand the sequence CHC maintaining in visa stamping.no additional docs/remedicals requested yet by CHC after medical done.

but as per previous case it usually takes two-three months for visa stamping in CHC ND.few lucky people get it within 30-40-50 days.

Dear Bnimsin

Yes I agree that I have seen people getting VISA in 2 months after PP submission. In some case it even took 5-6 months

But in general I observed in last one year most people got visas within 2 months. I see your case is taking more time than expected. Is there some thing that can be reason for this like
1.) Non Submission of any document as per checklist but an alternate for that doc like Notarized mark sheet in place of transcripts or some reference letters are missing etc
2.) Is there any travel history to Canada ( this has been reason for delay in few cases I observed closely).
I personally feel yours is a case where a specific enquiry is needed.

Dear Ankit,
I have sent them general Inquiry(week ago) but they have not responded yet.
as far as the docs is concern i have sent only notarized copy of mark sheets instead of transcripts.
but i have seen so many cases got through with Noto.Marksheets only.
if this is the reason, they would have asked at earlier stages.because all docs are thoroughly checked in background check.after medical only security & medical check done.they have not asked any docs upto two months after medical.
but CHC is always unpredictable.lets see what comes out.

I hope you get answer to the query soon.
There is no doubt that cases with Notarized copies go through and I have seen them as well. But when I sent a query to CHC they informed me that they generally verify from university regarding educational records in absence of Transcripts which delays the case

I also agree that all these should have been completed before PPT and medicals request were issued but CHC New Delhi issues meds as soon as the case turns in process so you never know.
This wait is full of anxiety and I share this anxiety with you, I pray that your case moves faster and you the VISA at the earliest. Wish you all the best and waiting to hear good news from you

Thanks Ankit for the wishes.

There are name mistakes in the medical forms so I have asked the agent to send it back to CHC for correction.

So I will be getting corrected version again.

Once I get it planning to do medicals here in Canada and then come to India on vacation for PPT submission.

Are there any drawbacks/advantages doing medicals here than in India. Like will there be any delay from DMP Canada to send the meds to India or will they be fast ?

I do not see any disadvantage of doing meds in Canada. But may be you can ring a DMP and ask when will they send the reports to CHC in ND

Dear Ankit

Please update..Medicals done on Nov 6 and Passports sent om Nov 10..
Now the real wait begins!!!
