So, I will not waste time checking updates in GCkey, will only check ecas from now onward.

I haven't done it. I believe its more beneficial for the family coming under sponsorship or FSW other than Spousal sponsorship. As the Spouse is already in Canada and know already many things about Canada. I am not sure, if it will give any extra advantage.

But they recommend you using the services if you are outside Canada...
