Hello guys, I have a question on behalf of my friend.
My friend has applied for his wife and its his second marriage, he has also applied for his first wife back in 2015 but, he has withdrawn her application before IRCC reached to any decision. Then, his first wife filed a false dowry case against him which my friend won. Now, he applied for his current wife in May 2017 and IRCC has asked him to provide additional document related to that case and divorce. My friend has consulted his local MP before IRCC asked for those documents so, my friend went to MP again and MP said give those documents to me and I will submit it and you can submit it after 2-3 days. Now, it has been more than 2 weeks that those documents has been submitted but nothing changed on GC key or on ECA or no update via email. Does anyone have any idea how long should it take IRCC to come up with decision, It has already passes 12 months on May 03 2018. Do you guys think there can be any problem?

IP1 and IP2 patterns are used in express entry applications, we cannot judge which IP stage is a family class application is at.

ip1 is when they start processing on your file and ip2 is when they start background check

Yup, that's correct, but can you tell what stage is a family (sponsorship) class file is at?
