Did he really applied to NDVO
As people applied to Ottawa are getting PPR in 4 months.

It is NDVO. his wife has not stepped out of India before getting the visa.

applicants after 15th december 2016 applied online
may be there timeline is within 4 months

i agree with you NDVO is disorganised

Yes. The thing is the application may be online but the resources are the same. They should use them to clear backlog first. if they have so many extra resources they should process faster. when i was applying for my pr the same thing happened. As soon as express entry came in they forgot the old lot. it is a CIC thing because sponsor approval happens in Canada and so does the final approval.

Good luck

Hats off to NDVO
more than half 2016 applications are pending ,still some 2015 applicants are remaining and they jumped to 2017
Best disorganised visa office of the years(may be from 5 years) :) :)

Ya, unable to edit Google Sheet. Admin, please change the setting.

Decision made today.
Background check started: Yesterday (Mar 28, 2017).
Application date: Aug 25, 2016.
AOR-2: Oct 04, 2016

Looks like a lot of Aug applicants applied around the same time. Hopefully, in a couple of weeks all Aug apps should get their approval.

If you have admin access to the XL sheet, could you please keep updating the data? It was quite helpful for me. Thanks!

In addition to this-
"reducing the backlog means complete and straightforward spousal sponsorship applications will be finalized faster."
"If you have not yet submitted an application to sponsor your spouse or partner but plan to do so, the application will not be dealt with as part of our backlog reduction efforts, but it will be processed as quickly as possible".
A couple of interesting articles by CIC (IRCC) on the process has changed from mid-June 2016 up until now. There have been multiple changes in the responsibilities assigned to the local VOs and majority of the grunt work is being done by CIC office in Canada. The general concept is that the local Vos should be required only at the last stages of issuing the CoPR. Therefore, there may be cases that are processed faster than average times whereas some cases that are selected for quality assurance may take longer than average.
Hope this reduces some frustrations around the application processing by IRCC.

Hello All,

I have sent the additional documents requested by NDVO on March 14th 2017. I have not received any updates or response from them (no emails or letters).

The Additional documents requested were just the wedding photos showing Hindu ceremonies.
How long does it take for NDVO to just verify that and approve.

Anybody in the same situation?
As the Aug applications are getting PPR now, I am so worried that mine is getting delayed.

My Application time line
Applied - Aug 8th 2016
AOR1 - Aug 24 2016
AOR2 - SEP14 2016
Additional Documents - Mar 12 2017.
Medicals - June 18 2016

I feel mine is the worst case ever...

June 1st applicant.
BGC under process since Jan 16th I guess..
Additional Document - Jan 23

Made MP inquiry on Feb 27th - no use - they say criminality verification is in process since Jan 11th, 2016.
Made another MP inquiry through my mom-in-law March 24th - no use again - they wrote same bulls**t about processing time to be 17 months.

My Medical is expiring on 27th April. and no one seems to be caring...

I have seen people write about their My CIC account getting updated after they sent the additional documents.... but mine doesnot even say that they asked for additional documents.

I feel that no one seems to be caring about my file.. God knows how long will it still take after my medical gets expired.

Any help or suggestion would highly appreciated ... Please tell me if I should/can go to the High Commission Office in New Delhi.

Hi Nitulapointe,
Have you ordered notes yet? That will give you all the information you are looking for! It takes a month to receive them via email. Good luck, hope you hear something soon!
