Dear Guys,

I am planning to immigrate to Canada. My spouse's sponsorship application(outside Canada) was submitted in Oct 2016. She received approval in a months time.

My application was received at NDVO in 1st week of Dec.

What is the current status of approval for end 2016 applicants?

Thanks

Hello guys….. I am July 27 applicant…....

I had additional document request on Feb 20 and I have sent them courier, which they have received on March 3 2017 (Friday)

Just checked my CIC account and there is an update....

........it says like this....

Background check : We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information. (changed today)

Review of additional documents We need additional documents to process your application. Check your messages below for details. ( they have received my documents on March 3 2017 but they haven’t updated in MY CIC account)

So my background check is in process……but they haven’t updated my additional document request and started background check ....

They have received my document on March 3 2017 ....

Currently, they are working on June - July applications....

They are planning to finish all application (which are submitted before Dec 7 2016) by end of Dec 2017

So give 3-4 months for your application....

yes, else it wouldn't be able to find the application status.

receipt number has to be linked with application for finding it's status.
Thanks a lot for your help

Hi. Guys

Quick question. I received AOR 2 from NDVO today which acknowledge the receipt of application that they received the file. Also, they are requesting proof of RPRF fee & PCC for PA which I already submitted upfront. Does anyone have that same situation or is it a general email sent to everyone? Please suggest what should I do. Ignore it?

Thanks

galt.
Its a generic email from their server, if you have submitted ignore, if you havent then please submit it.

I got GCMS notes revert from CIC as per that the last action they performed on my file was on 25 Jan 2017 and then last comment is Request RPRF. But I have not received any RPRF as of now. How long does it take. If I submit the RPRF before hand will it be helpful for my file.
Feeling frustrated right now . On Jan 25 they have completed other things for me and they did not sent any request till now.
If you have access to GCKey, please login into the GC key window and there you will see the request for the RPRF as well. Pay the fee and download the receipt as a pdf and then upload it back in the GCKEy but merge the two documents, the request form and the receipt. Use this link (http://www.ilovepdf.com/download/8896a4e2883fb58aac6839a460100924_cadf90292f1411d7fd3a810e334ce5f2) to merge two pdf documents

Hi leon

I got my PR in september 2016, I went to canada for 20 days...came back on 13th october as my marriage was on 20th november.
I landed in toronto..came back..got married and my marriage certificate has address of toronto.
Is it possible that now i move to BC and sponsor my spouse from there or I have to sponsor him from toronto only?
You can sponsor your spouse from your current city and province which is BC for you now.

Hi Dear, Could you please check one thing for me ??

As you know the mycic page has been updated, could you please click on the "?" sign against "Final Decision" and tell what it says??
I want to know if it is same for everyone...
This is what i see
"We have reached a final decision on your application.
If your application is approved, we will send you instructions on what to do next.
These instructions will be sent to your account.
If your application is refused, we will send you the reason(s) for the refusal."

Yes that's true.
You can only login with the the information that they link to your account.

Generally when they receive any correspondence, they record the date they receive it and log info in their GCMS system electronically. only information which is logged into the system can be used for logging into ECAS or to link application in MYCIC account.

Good luck :)
Thanks a lot, this really helps

Something very interesting i would like to share with you folks,

When you receive an email from CIC/NDVO/IRCC folks and the email goes to say, "please submit this form along with the requested documents". What does this mean?

I have always found them to be the worst when it comes to official communications.

  • "please submit this form along with the requested documents" means when you go into GCKey
  • Under "View my submitted applications or profiles" your press "check status and messages"
  • In that page you see "View submitted application" towards the bottom of the page, please press on it and then the email which you have received shows up in the shape of a pdf document on your computer.
  • This is considered "the form" and this is what they mean when they say "please submit this form along with the requested documents"
  • So what you need to do is to merge this pdf form along with your pdf documents using (http://www.ilovepdf.com/) and upload them here and submit it.

Hope this helps the folks who are currently in the process of sharing information with CIC/NDVO/IRCC and for the new folks who have joined this group
