'Date Read' on my GCKey is changed now. Earlier, it was 25th July, 2016. Now it is 22 January, 2017. Does it mean anything?

Assuming the child is an Indian national? and the divorce and custody filing was done in India. Please confirm.

You have to show your spouse's divorce decree and custody order based on divorce decree. Usually, if the court gives your spouse sole custody then the middle two points of the non custodial parent will not be required. If it's shared custody, all of these documents will be required.

My suggestion, if your spouse doesn't have the documents mentioned in Point 1 & 4 of the email, consult with a competent Indian divorce lawyer to see how you can get these documents asap or ask the ex-spouse to grant permission and documents as required (points 2 & 3).

This is important as NDVO have given you a deadline -- the courts move slowly in this country.

Others with more experience on this forum could advice as well!

[Thanks your reply the child Indian national and unfoutunatley no custody letter for the child @ the time of divorce we contacted lawyer and he said if other parent come and sin then we can make 2 and 3 documents # 4 still take time if we collect 2 and 3 document . Is that OK to upload and get some extention to our dead line ? Please advice

This is indeed very depressing. NDVO is not processing files in the order of date received. Having said that, I am indeed very glad for fellow applicants who have got PPR's and DM's very quickly. The wait is only getting more excruciating with time !!!!

Hi all... My passport has been couriered back from vfs..Can any one tell me from where I can track the update of my passport. Coz the tracking number which vfs has provided me is to track passport application not courier update... Thanks in advance!! May 27 applicant, DM on 17 Jan, PPR on 23 jan, passport submitted on 30 jan , couriered back on 31 Jan...!!!

When i m open ecas .in the lower corner show modified date 27 jan but before when i was check ecas at that time it shows 5 jan is this modified date related only my ecas or all? Why this modified date changed after few days?

That date changes every time they have they have a server update....you are correct it was initially 5th Jan for me and now its 27th Jan

My wife received mail from NDVO and they asked custody documents for dependent child listed below . Do we have to proceed all these ?
After providing all these will have to go for interview ? Any suggestions ?

Custody Documents: Provide custody documentation issued by the relevant judicial authority Kindly provide the following custody documents of your daughter"xxxxx
Ø Copy of the divorce order showing the custody arrangements of the child.
Ø Affidavit from the non-custodial parent giving permission for the child to proceed to Canada permanently
Ø Certified true copy of the non-custodial parent’s passport
Ø Guardianship order issued by a competent court in India under the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890, appointing the sponsor or the parent they are accompanying to Canada as the legal guardian of that child and indicating that permission has been granted to him/her to remove the child from India for permanent residence in Canada.


Ø This must be received at this office by: 2017/03/10

Well cant really say if you will asked to come in for an interview but you will need to provide these documents. This shows that your file is under actually processing. If they feel that you haven't satisfied their conditions they might call you for an interview or they may not, depends on the officer
