Hi,
I am May 26 applicant. Still shows in process
I went to MP's office and they said they can't help as the processing time is 12 months

January 26th is my first wedding anniversary and I will be away from my spouse.... Is there anything else I can do apart from waiting? As I know MP office is not going to help now....

Below are some things you can do now:

1) Tell your MP that you are never going to vote him/her.

2) As you have only week left , I will suggest you to buy a ticket and surprise your spouse (get a vacations for a week or two)

3) Just do skype or facetime on your wedding anniversary.

I think it depends on how you present your situation to MP. One of my friend took this problem to MP and explained him/her that

i) it's hard to maintain long distance relashionship for a year ii) he will be moving to new city and therefore both want to plan for future. etc etc

MP was kind enough and was good human I think, then he provided him tentative date regarding when his fill will processed and that date was correct as his wife got PPR within same period.

So i think we should explain them situation and make them understand.

Don't worry. Things will fall in place.

really worrying about processing, we were married on nov 2016 and then we are not together, cant describe our pain here.

Just checked ecas it now says medicals received today but on my cic its been passed since November hope to here something soon june 7 applicant

I think this is a positive step. I am glad they are working on June file NOW.

Congrats to you and good luck with the flag pole landing. One advice, please avoid the Niagara falls bridge landing. Its super busy and the wait times will be insane. Chose the other three if you can. Google them up and you can read all about it.

Please don't antagonize the situation. The MP can just call the CIC and share this experience of threats with them. Then imagine what can happen to your file. I know we all get emotional and i am sure this was just a rant and nothing more. I would highly recommend NOT TO DO just such things. Not a positive sign
