Yes, I know that we can't travel without passport or while passport is submitted for stamping. I am talking about 3 months duration time, what is that?
Passport stamping would take 1-2 weeks, then why is that 3 months time mentioned to stay in Canada after passport request?
Cuz, once you apply for PR card or it gets applied for you, it takes 50 days for you to get it along with other services like health card and all.

Isn't this confusing?

If you have a mailing address in Canada and if you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa.

So what about travelling to another country for vacation, or going to India and returning back for completing the PR process? How would that work if we need to be in Canada for at least 3 months? Any inputs about this?

The three month duration is given on a very conservative side. Usually the passport comes back after stamping in 2-3 weeks, or maybe a maximum of a month. After u receive ur passport back, u can go for vacation, or to India or anywhere outside canada. But you will need to do landing before the expiry date of landing visa. Hope it helps.

It's just a very conservative estimate from CIC to be on a very safe side, as I mentioned above.

That's a proper reply. Thanks a lot.. :)

Congratulation to all who have got DM and PPR!!!

I have a question ... my application is transferred to NDVO and I am trying to pay the RPRF fees. However, I do not find an option to pay only the RPRF fees...I am looking the link https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/orderSubmit.do
I believe, it was there earlier....However, i could not find now....
Can someone advise me if I am looking at the wrong place?
