What does status on both sides mean? Because even i cant check gckey as i have a representative and also when i check ECAS then onleft side is my name written and on right side is the status as "in process" and when i click on that then only 3 lines are there that
1. Application received on 30 may
2. Medical received
3. Processing started on 8/8/16

So what does status on both sides mean? I understand one is sponser and one is applicant but can this be checked in ECAS?

Yes with client id u can check both side process

ECAS is the page where in you can get both the SA and PA's information.

Hey guys... I am thinking about getting tourist visa for my husband while our application is in process passed on to New Delhi office. Now we are confused if he does get the tourist visa and he comes to Canada will be have to go back to India and then come back again when his PPR comes from our spousal sponsorship ???? Please let me know asap.... It will be a great help.

he have less chances of getting tourist visa because u have already filed his application for immigration,whenever u apply for tourist or visit or business visa u have to show to visa officer that u dont have intention to become an immigrant and these are information u have to write in ur tourist visa application,if u hide such information thats not right so i suggest u guys and wait and pray that ur husband gets pr visa as quickly as possible

don't apply for a tourist visa. Once his file is acknowledged in Delhi office, apply for a TRV (aka visit visa). This way if he's in Canada when he gets a PPR request he doesn't have to go back, he can get his stamping in Canada.

When you apply for TRV so fill out his UCI number in the application. Any information with held or fraudulent will back fire on your case and is definitely not worth the risk.
