Well, wonders never cease. I think maybe the MP inquiry to the Minister's office may have worked. Finally it shows DM ----- only a few weeks shy of one full year. I don't know why it took so long. I knew there was no red flags, I went over everything with a fine tooth comb before I sent it, and its a first marriage for both of us, with several years history leading up to it and ample evidence. Also, both of us have spotless record. I think they just forgot about our file or it got lost in the file system till now. But anyway DM. Too bad it wan't a few weeks ago so he could be here for holidays. But now we have to wait for PPR and I think that will be in the new year as NDVO is probably on vacation now. In any case, just hope they get PPR and get his passport back to him so we will have enough time to get PR card before moving back to India on 2 March.

Congratulations Harkiran ....very happy for u...finally ur long wait is over...happy married life

Hello, I have a question.CIC asked for my divorce decree, court order but all i sent is divorce deed which is not a valid proof and i realized that after sending it to CIC.I have been given a time untill Feb 2017. I am afraid on this base CIC will reject my wife's PR. Is there any option of taking time from CIC to arrange document and meanwhile they dont make any decision. because these documents will be ready after 6 mnths as per court procedure.

Thanks!

Thank you all for the wishes!!

Hubby received his PPR today! I think tomorrow is the last working day until probably 27th so hopefully he will get it back by end of next week? His cousin is dropping it by hand tomorrow at VFS in New Delhi along with his 2 photos and the letter copy.

Hi,

Is there any documentation that will prove that the divorce decree / court order will take six months? And is there a receipt of application for the Court Order?

If you need time, please get these papers and meet a lawyer if you want to plead for more time from the documents.

Don't worry things will happen in the right time.

Good Luck.
