Hi all, I'm new here but hopefully somebody can answer a couple questions I have.

I am a Canadian PR holder (SINP Holder) since July 2015 but i returned to India in Aug 2015 to complete my Job Commitments and Other Family Requirements.

Now, i am planning to go Back to Saskatchewan in May/June 2017 and the apply for my Wife and newly born kid of 1 Year and 3 Month under Outland Application.

So, please let me know what should i take care so that my Application is not delayed . What are the finances and Minimum salary required for sponsoring my Spouse.

PS: My Wife was already declared as Non Accompanying during my Processing of PR .

Hi,

There is no salary requirement to sponsor spouse - please check if there is any for the dependant child which I also think does not have a set number. Application being faster/slower non of use here could control that, it's a very tricky process. Just make sure that all the forms are completed and have correct information.

Put yout postal code and then call the office - book an appointment - and go there with your application #.
They will call the cic in front of you if they are not busy.

Yes sure, I will share her experience.
It is confusing because they want each item of gold and electronics with picture and price
She is coming alone for first time and I don't want to see her in any trouble with immigration and CBSA.

It's the officers choice whether or not to enquire about the gold that your wife will declare. It is better to take the receipt and the images with the price tag in the image to clear immigration quicker. The officer mostly does not enquire if he finds the person genuine and finds that they are well prepared.

When my family migrated, the officer just saw the amount that we were declaring as a family of 4 and added that to his notes. There is no limit to bringing gold into Canada as a permanent resident when you land for the first time only.

Hi,

Did you keep the tracking number for the physically mailed documents. If yes then you can check whether the docs reached them or not.
There is no review timeline. But they will inform you once they have made a decision on your file with the new docs received.

A good timeline is the expiry date on your medical. If it is nearing you will hear something by then.

I called cic and agent told me that they have no access to portion of application that sent to NDVO. So I am curious that if MP do the inquiry to Cic than how Cic provides information to MP? Does MP inquiry give more details in terms of actual situation of application or just standard?

CIC and MP enquiry are way different.

With the MP enquiry its like Govt talking to the Govt. They will always know more than you could ever find out

But it's up to you.

Anyone received passport back from NDVO recently... My passport was collected post interview on 07th Nov 2016.. . I sent the passport transmission pack to NDVO on 12th Dec 2016 however have still not received it back.. its 11 day today.. do they hold passport usually for that long..
My GCKEY says Application Approved & all other parameters as Passed/ Complete..
Any comments on usually how long do it take .. VFS said 7 to 10 days..

Feb applicant still waiting...re-medical submitted both through email and courier on 5 December but no response yet....MyCIC says Review of medical results - "Review in Progress" (it's close to three weeks now...anybody has idea does they take so long to update) and BG - "In Progress" since 6/7 December.
I don't understand what they are doing for so long...kind of worried now..any hope to receive PPR by this year end?
Any advice guys?
