Sometimes they don't update it either on ecas or my CIC.
Who knows if ndvo is already working on your files.
Their trend shows they do things in a bulk. The next bulk might be done in 1-2 wees may be, that includes mine.

Definitely

Fingers crossed now

His medical is now good till next November but I thought the Visa was 6 months validity maximum. So if he gets POR finally in end of January then the Visa would be good till July only meaning he would have to come to Canada a month before I came back. Which is obviously not ideal since he's never been here and doesn't know the area etc. Not to mention I'd be stuck alone in india for a month. Yet if he came in Feb to Canada he likely won't have his PR card by March 02 when we have to go back to India.
It's now very complicated. I had hoped he would be here long before now since everyone seems to have 7-9 months maximum. We're now on month 12. If he doesn't get it by end Dec (and likely staff will be on leave from 20th onward) then I hope hey delay PPRA till at least Feb and then we can delay sending it till last minute so that the 6 months will be valid till 23 August when I come back.

That travel document looks complicated and looks like you have to give good reason why you went back to India without the card and have to send ample proofs at your PR status but as a brand new PR someone wouldn't have all those proofs. Just look at the document list they want for that!! And they can refuse it!

So just as an update it's another full week and still PA side is in process. And on GC Key account it says BG Check still in progress. I think when they opened the file in Nov, saw that he had to do remedical by end of Nov they must have put a new due date for the new year sometime. Which is unfair since the medical is due in 30 days but someone suggested that they likely put another due date for 2-3 months down the road again. That makes sense because it doesn't take that long to do BG check. It's unfair how they do things. The only reason his medical ran out to begin with is because they took so long to even open his file he first time! Meanwhile others had file opened within 6-8 months.

I believe visa is valid till medical expiry, there is "valid to" date. This date is till medical expiry.

Hello guys,
My wife passport is in Delhi for visa stamp and meanwhile I am looking for an Airticket and just wonder about layover time in Toronto. Her final destination is Regina from Toronto and layover time in Toronto is 2 hr and 40 min, so is it sufficient time for immigration landing and all other formalities and also able to get her connceting flight for Regina?
Congrats to all who got update on files and best luck for otheres

2.40 hours are more than enough, if it's just for transit. my wife came through immigration within 30 mins. Not sure though if your wife is doing her PR landing in Toronto, if she is, then it might take some time, how much, that is not guaranteed.

Let`s hope next working week comes with lots of BG ---> In process and PPRs. Because that will be last working weeks for staff.

Assuming staff will be on holidays and we may expect slow until 1 week of Jan-2017
