NEW DELHI (NDVO) - 2016 SPOUSAL SPONSORSHIP OUTSIDE CANADA

Hi all,

For anyone who recently landed in Canada, I have a query with regards to Indian Immigration.

At the Indian Immigration counters, do we have to show any other documents besides our passport, ticket and Canadian visa/COPR when leaving the country for Canada?

What about with airlines.... do we have to show same documents as above when booking an one way ticket and is there a different weight allowance given for migration reasons?

Hi. I am a May 11th applicatn.Ecas shows DM under both Applicant and the sponsor. But, we are still only seeing 3 bullets below in ecas:

1.We received application for permanent residence on May 11, 2016.
2.We started processing application on July 18, 2016.
3.Medical results have been received.

Will it show Decision made as a 4th bullet too? If so, how soon can we expect that, knowing that it's already showing DM on both PA and sponsor side?
And, we had our BG go in progress on the same day on Dec. 6th, we got DM in ecas. How long does it take for PPR? Why is it showing Decision made when Background check is still in progress on GC key. Is this normal?

I had submitted my passport for temporary visa stamping.Meanwhile i received mail for passport request for permanent residant.Afterwards i go visa office in jalandhar they suggest me to withdraw the file for temporary visa stamping and i mail the chandigarh office.Now i am waiting for my passport return.

can anybody guide me how much time it will take.

I am in the same position as your case. DM on both side and waiting for PPR while the same on gckey. It's been a week for me so I am guessing it's normal.

Many people in the forum earlier have mentioned about non receipt of aor2. And ecas is showing that they have started processing your file at ndvo, there is nothing to worry about .

I know how frustrating it is for you...Just hold for some time and your prayers will be answered, I last saw my wife in July ( we coould spend only 2months together) , the frustration is building but nothing can be done...I hope everyones wish of reuniting with spouse gets fulfilled sooner.

Couple of queries in regards to PPR:

1. How long it usually takes to receive PPR after DM? (May 4th Applicant , ECAS showing DM on both sides since December 7th, 2016, GCKey still showing background check in progress)
2. Do we usually receive PPR request by email or via regular mail or by both? If by email - which email address distribute the notification?

Congratulations ....can u tell the reasons for earlier refusals and what changes did u made in the application this time ? It would be very helpful if u can share all the documenta u submitted alongwith ur trv application .
