That's true, the more close to the application date the better it is

Sponsor side: Decision Made, PA side (checked today only): Decision Made

but in MyAccount,
eligibility in process
Medical passed
BG Check in process (since mid oct) and no PPR

Any Idea?

Goodluck everyone!!

this is what I would suggest you should do. If you are visiting him this year, get the marriage register in the court.
take the application package, all the forms multiple copies with you. fill it out. there are good set of forms that will require his signatures. Get it completed. ask him to complete his PCC and medical ahead. so you have it and submit the file as soon as you are back in the Canada.

this way you don't waste too much time.

here is my experience.

I went to India for vacation, I was not planning to get married. since it was my second marriage. I met a girl and with family pushing to move on with the life. I decided to get arrange marriage in Jan 2016. came back to Canada in Feb.
Wife had to get all the paperwork and stuff. PCC and medical appointment took forever and I got the forms in my hand beginning of the April .. 2 months wasted. I could have had the forms ready and would have been shipped on the second day after arriving back to Canada.
