Someone posted on 2015 that her MP made an inquiry and a lot of files are in final review stages but because of the volume, it could take a while before they get PPR.

It is disheartening to see the drastic slow down in processing not only in the 2016 thread but 2015 NDVO threads. I could honestly live with seeing activity and progress at least on the 2015 thread to show NDVO is working and they are making an effort to get files sorted and closed quickly so the back long is lessened- would give me hope that 2016 files would be processed in a timely manner. There are loads of people waiting from 2015 who are awaiting final approval with everything else approved/passed.

I understand festival holidays slows things down and in India we have a lot, but these festivals have lock in holiday dates known a year in advance - why can't they organise their staffing accordingly so things don't screech to a halt so drastically and cause files to continue to pile up, creating more backlogs. Then of course there is the Xmas-New Year holidays which will mean almost no activity since most Canadian staff go away. Every other thread from other VOs are seeing rapid progress - Manila, Abu Dhabi, Nairobi, Singapore, London etc - I just don't get the work ethic or professionalism of staff at NDVO in CIC, nor their resource and time allocation mechanisms.

Apparently, NDVO has the most number of spousak visa files that's why it takes
Longer at tjis office for visas to be processed

A friend told me he was informed that it's possible Ndvo not working bcoz the quota for the year has finished. :(
Please don't bring in any more doubts which are baseless and useless to the moral of the people here. Thats just rubbish, sorry if it sounds rude but thats what it is

Guys I have a doubt here.. How does the quota works then. Because we see from this thread that Jan-April 2016 guys were processed in 4-5 months. But still there are applicants from 2015 who are waiting. So when they pick on 2017 will they pick the 2016 applications or again preference will be given 2017 applicants ?

Also is it specific to Country. The applications going to Ottawa are being processed in 3 months.. You can check some other threads and see. But looks like NDVO is in hibernation since May.. But Ottawa is still working.. What about the quota there ?
Agreed, its illogical to say that the quota has ended without any proof

Check this link out - it has instructions.

Choose country from where you're paying, type of immigration and whether sponsored inside or outside of Canada. The next pages will give you the steps. It has to be paid online. Hope that helps!

Really? Then mind your own business Mr. know it all. This forum is for sharing whatever info we get. People like you discourage others from posting by your atrocious behaviour. READ MY COMMENT AGAIN. My friend said it's POSSIBLE not DEFINITE.
