Same hope in every new morning.... gud luck to all...

Someone posted on 2015 that her MP made an inquiry and a lot of files are in final review stages but because of the volume, it could take a while before they get PPR.

It is disheartening to see the drastic slow down in processing not only in the 2016 thread but 2015 NDVO threads. I could honestly live with seeing activity and progress at least on the 2015 thread to show NDVO is working and they are making an effort to get files sorted and closed quickly so the back long is lessened- would give me hope that 2016 files would be processed in a timely manner. There are loads of people waiting from 2015 who are awaiting final approval with everything else approved/passed.

I understand festival holidays slows things down and in India we have a lot, but these festivals have lock in holiday dates known a year in advance - why can't they organise their staffing accordingly so things don't screech to a halt so drastically and cause files to continue to pile up, creating more backlogs. Then of course there is the Xmas-New Year holidays which will mean almost no activity since most Canadian staff go away. Every other thread from other VOs are seeing rapid progress - Manila, Abu Dhabi, Nairobi, Singapore, London etc - I just don't get the work ethic or professionalism of staff at NDVO in CIC, nor their resource and time allocation mechanisms.

My wife landed in Canada. Landing was quick and smooth

best of luck everyone, hope whoever is waiting will get PPR soon

thanks

Maybe its best to apply for Visitor visa now. NDVO seems to giving those out more frequently than Spousal VISA.

did MP enquiry and got reply as follows :Good Afternoon,

I have inquired about your case to CIC and they told me that everything is passed they are waiting for the visa to be printed and landing paper. It is currently in queue for that to be done. They told me the request has not been made yet and should be done soon.

There is no specific delay for the request so I cannot tell you exactly when they will request it. Your file is being done very early in comparison to how long average cases take.

You applied on March 30th, 2016 and it is approximately an 18 month processing time and your case is being done much faster than the average.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

for MP enquiry u can go to ur local MP and explain him ur issue and he will call cic and enquire for u and GCMS notes u have to apply online and costs u 5 dollar and will take a month to get them.so basically both works in the same way difference is one is way faster than the other.MP enquiry usually takes a day to a week

I already have a 10 year multiple entry visa :) but till PR comes its only a stop gap and hard to plan a life in the long term. I feel for people who don't have a TRV so my post was more specific to the NDVO processing operations and how it affects the majority rather than the minority who at least have the comfort of a multi entry TRV.
