Just received a message requesting passport submission for my wife's TRV.

My timeline for wife's TRV- September 17th (online application)
Submission confirmation - September 17th
Passport Request - October 13th.

It worked, linking my application. City of birth was needed. Here are the details;
Application/profile status Open
Review of eligibility Review in Progress (Shouldnt this have been completed at the Sponsorship stage, seems like a redundant step to me :'()
Review of medical results Passed
Review of submitted documents Blank
Scheduling an interview Not needed at this time :-X
A background check is needed Not Started
Final decision Not Started

Now from the looks of it, has there been cases where none of status changes above yet they call for PPR...feeling very optimistic here

There is no harm. mine is approved. already submitted passport.

One last question, when did you apply for it , once your file reached Delhi , after that right??

I dont think they do update any additional documents, all it does is goes back to showing In Process, the system kinda sucks in this regard. But hang in there, you are a June applicant and some of the folks above have PPR request for April or May so its closing in soon. Just be patient with this.

One last question, when did you apply for it , once your file reached Delhi , after that right??

Its better to apply after your spouse receives his/her UCI number. That way u have a field in the TRV application to fill in this information. File number doesnt help

I applied after AOR 2 i.e acknowledgement from new delhi. total time till today is 5 months since i applied for sponsorship.

We applied for my Brother's wife TRV on Sep 14th and yesterday got rejection on TRV.

I followed the same forum to prepare application, We also put to celebrate 1st bday of my brothers wife. And 4000 CAD my bro's income, wife income 4 lakh INR. We even attached the leave application approved for 30 days for wife. attached the Return ticket. hotel bookings in whistler, kelowna and Banff. Invitation letter explaining plan to visit these locations. And bank statements showing 50k CAD in bank.

but the denial reason was
You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including:

no Travel history on his wife
no sufficient financial funds in wife account
Family ties in Canada and in country of residence

Heres the thing guys, if we sit down to analyse the reasoning behind an approval or rejection, its not quite going to do any good to any one. The TRV approval process is completely on the officers judgement. Different officers have different interpretation and understanding of the law. But in either cases, its doesn't have an impact on the FAM case.

But sharing your experiences may help someone else who is preparing their application.

Someone else should not make mistake which I made, and thats what i am trying to figure out what was the mistake. I think this forum is all about that, sharing your experience.

You are absolutely right about that and let me take this to another step to clear my point, we cant say why the rejection happened. But surely we , including myself who is planing on applying for TRV after i get a job ;-( , will be reviewing everyone's notes so that my wife can be granted a TRV. And yes your are 100% on the money, we need to share the fine notes, like did we submit pay stubs, reference letters, invitation letters, showing proof of reason to return to India, etc...

So far from what we have seen in the forum is that its taking 7-9 months. Please share the detailed timeline like we have and go through the posts on the left right below the name, you will have a clear idea

We have now reached 9 full months (15 Jan application received date) and online status says eligibility in progress, medical passed and everything else is not started. It's been the exact same since NDVO got his application on 21 March. It's now been 7 months that his application has been in NDVO and looks like not a single thing has been done on it at all. I have applied for GCMS notes to see if it can tell us anything more but it seems to be more than 7-9 months as we are now in month 10 as of the 15th and it's not because of delays with our paperwork or anything. It just seems like NDVO has not even looked at it at all yet.
