Use the CSE (Case Specific Enquiry webform) as well - you can upload docs on it and on MyCIC - someone can explain the process if they have done it before.

Try and address every point they have outlined. Give a good explanation if your photos don't show what they expected to see based on what you originally wrote in your application. Sometimes at CPC they may have shredded or lost some of your photos etc - so don't assume they have it all. If you have GCMS notes - go through them or order some so you get an idea of how they are assessing your application. It will help later if you want to send additional proofs after this batch to address any concerns.

It's interesting they want to know why you waited 6 years to be married - make sure your explanation is solid.

Thanks Skitz...yes I'll provide them with more than sufficient proof this time..I got GCMS couple of days back and in there they didn't find anything suspicious but don't know why they are raising like after 8 months....which is heartening now...

Any idea, will it be further delay because they seek more documents and how quickly they proceed to BG or PPR after submission?

Blue Dart Tracking # will be updated once VFS dispatches the Passport to you.

Now it's on way from NDVO to VFS.

Seems like they are again in Student visa mode as next batch is starting in January....God knows when they are going to process rest of the spousal visa applications
Is there a way to know if they are actually processing Student Visas and not Immigration Files? I assume there are two separate departments for this.

Thanks for your reply.

So I am assuming I will get an email/text from NDVO providing me the tracking number?

Thanks again for help!

Lets hope that once they receive your additional documents your file will proceed as usual but honestly its not possible to say whether there will be delays or not. They only obvious delay will be you providing them as much justification and clarification as possible from your end and all the docs must be tagged according to their new queries. Just Make sure you label them and write as many comments as possible. Like someone mentioned above, provide details once more if you think u have already done earlier. Theres no harm in it.

there is no separate department.....what the student visa department is going to do in January to June...and then in sept, oct anothing....its the same people.....well thats my guess....I might be wrong.....but from the forum....I find out process get slow 2-3 months before the classes are getting starting up in Canada

Not to sound like arguing but, student visa spikes should show up in Nov and Dec for Spring intake and then July and August for Fall intake. Plus the student visas are mostly in person interviews and some of them mail the documents, this has been my experience with the US consulate and i assume the same applies to Canadian High commission/consulates. Nonetheless, if what you are saying is accurate then its a shame that officers have to move away from the immigration routine and work on Visa queries.

I have also found out that most of the delays usually happens because of the third party agencies whom these officers from the high commission rely on to get the documents verified and some of it also depends on the security companies when the applicant's background info is being check out with the local police, law enforcement or other agencies. This is what my MP told me when i had inquired about my wife's process and the time it will take.

Learning from past experience of my own inland immigration, i would say lets all focus on the end goal and help each other out with positive vibes and prayers and we will all get through this.

Stay positive and keep praying for all

General question guys are you allowed to use Blue ball point on the forms? Or Does it have to be filled out in the computer?

The best way to fill out the forms in the use of computer. second to the best would be to use a pen and write the info in block letters so that its legible for them to read. The last thing you want is your case being sent back just cuz they couldnt read your info due to un-readable fonts

Are the dependents traveling with you and are a part of this spousal immigration? Then yes, else you dont need to.
