Yes invitation letter need to be signed - when i applied for my parents , i also noterized the letter from Knight Archer (if you have insurance with them they do it free )

I just found this from on of the thread... and the user is saying that according to CIC a trip of 1 or 2 month is still ok!!!!

"Hi I just talked to CIC and they said that if your sponsor wants to travel abroad he/she can go ahead for one month or two. as long as you always follow the emails from them like if they need additional documents you need to submit it on time"

if ur canadian citizen, i believe, then u may stay longer ( it should not be one year)
visa officer may question sponsor about financial stability if u stay longer outside canada

Hi guys ! I have a couple of questions regarding which I am not clear after reading the guidelines:

1 - Does CIC require Original Birth Certificate and Nikkah Nama? In the FAQ it says original, but in General Asia Specific Checklist [IMM 3907].pdf, it is not very clearly mentioned.

2 - Does CIC require birth certificates of both sponsor and Principal Applicant (Sponsored) ?

3 - Does CIC require educational certificates for Principal Applicant (Sponsored) ?

" Vfs Tracking system shows that passport is been dispatched on 2016/09/15 from CHC-New delhi to VFS processing centre." Its for TRV.

Is it ready to be available for pick up today 2016/09/16 at mumbai VFS ? is it necessary to call VFS helpline to find about status ?

Plz advise
