There was an article which said that applications filed till June 13, 2016 will be considered a part of backlog. After these are done, applications filed later would be considered.

do you have a reference to this article? I'm interested in seeing what else was written on there as I filed mine after at time.

The same site where u can check pr processing time underneath they have mentioned abt clearing backlog click on that

I applied trv paper application for my wife from vfs ahmedabad on july 28. Its still showing in process at Bangalore.

Can we apply for GCMS notes for TRV while its in process? Has anyone applied for gcms notes for trv, please share your experience.

When do most people get married in India (especially north)- October to March .
Avg days to file application-90

So, I assume there would be a load of applications filed in February to April 2016 and many would still be pending (including ours in March )

its not they have not processed anything either - yea there are lot of marriage in Oct-Mar ( but it happens every year ) , and NDVO have processed several files in 2016 which they were not used to do in previous years

which means our files will be processed earlier than regular trend- i hope so

I think waiting a month is good idea - thats what i gonna do.
I will apply in early October.

I am planning to make online application-so that in case NDVO asks for Passport for pr application ,we have passport ready with us

however i am not sure online has better success rate or paper application.
My VO is Chandigarh - and i heard that they are very slow and refusal rate is very high
