My spouse just received email from New Delhi requesting her passport.

This is the best news we have heard since a long time in this forum. Gives hopes to many of 2016 applicants. Please keep us updated. Thanks.

Hey Johny,

It is my first marriage and hers too and our application is very straight forward.
I applied on April 4th 2016, and today my wife msgs me saying that she received an email from NEW DELHI requesting her to send passport with in 30 days.

I even booked my ticket for November to go to India but looks like she is coming here sooner than I thought.

Excellent news congrats, hope September will see more of this news for 2016 applicants.

I think it really is a matter of luck whose file gets picked up by NDVO. Some straightforward cases from 2015 are still waiting.

Well, I guess majority of us have their first marriage and straight forward cases. All i can say is you are a lucky couple else here are so many ppl crying to be united together with their spouses. Your application moving forward actually brought a moment of joy for each of us. :D

NDVO keep this going for all 2016 applicants as well 8)!
