Anyone who is living close to or in Markham can directly go to MP office (MP is John McCallum , minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship) and tell the story of Citizens and PR spouses being harassed by NDVO on record wrt spousal applications.

Thats not a bad idea...

I did a try, but they also check CIC website and say : 19 Months.

No one has clue on what's happening @ NDVO.

Especially we should fight for TRV and OWP. Let them give PR after 19 or 20 months. Our intention isn't to get PR or citizen overnight.

Couple should be together instead of waiting for ages. I am sure, all the Indian spouses will have disappointments and fights every now and then, due to the NDVO delays.

To whomsoever who said CIC says 19 months, tell them in CPC government this time was 13 months for spouse visas. Liberals promised speedup on that time of 13 months. It has gone worse.
and as you said if they can't provide PR approval in promised time, at least provide the spouse with TRV.

That's the greatest irony of this country, we talk so much of BS about human rights and we keep our own people away from their family members.

Yesterday I got the GCMS notes and guess what they haven't done anything since it reached Delhi in April.

For Eligibility review "DUE DATE" was given as 01-April -2017 :O, if we go by plain English, it means they need to complete the eligibility review by that date. WTF !!!!

What worse could I expect !!!!

HI buddy,
Don''t worry that is basically a standard format by which they calculate this Due Date .
Application will get processed as per the current mode of work by NDVO .
I hope in the September end we will get to hear something good or may be processing of 2016 applications .
Just want for all of us over here to be with their better half as soon as possible.

Thanks for letting me know.

Guys :

Includes assessment of sponsor: 36 days

June Applicants waited for 57 days.

Reducing time for assessment of sponsor from about 2 months to 36 days is remarkably a good signal that they are going to expedite the processing, however, why the NDVO don't budge to reduce processing time from 19 months is quite a bizarre matter. I really want to know if NDVO is serious to the plight of the family spousal applicants and compatible with the new policy. Some of the guys were optimistic that they would do sth from September, it is also a matter of hope that even in the trend of last years, they had issued more than the total visas issued from January to August only during the fall. Let's hope, straightforward applications up to May 2016 will be dealt in by the end of 2016 and June to December 2016 applicants by the end of May 2017 or even sooner. For sure, momentum will be seen during the fall this year too. They might be waiting for balancing with total visa quota for this year. Keep hope and be strong. Enjoy the far-distanced relations with positive zeal and dream to be together soon. Let's start count down right from today.
