Hi all

To change family name of spouse in passport other than marriage certificate what other documents will be required by passport office in India to do name change? Plz advise me if anyone is aware of it.

Thanks

Hi vj1222

Where is url or link for August 16 ndvo family thread? Plz let me know

Not NDVO but in general for all applicants of August 2016:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/august-2016-outland-spousal-applicants-t440126.135.html

Again, i was mentioning about just SA approval in 2 weeks of a person not at all associated with NDVO :)

Backlog reductions not going to happen anytime soon...our file is going to be backlog in a few months so its an ongoing issue

If 2016 applications end up in backlog then that will be worse...

I don't think they are gonna do that - realistically there should be at-least 20 - 30 % of the staff spending time on straightforward 2016 applications. lets see what September/October brings in final hope :-X

Me too waiting to see something happening in oct or nov

Hi Guys,

Only the Ottawa office is processing the applications fast ( Notable here is Ottawa office process most of the parents applications)

American spouses are getting PPR in 3 months .

Then What Liberal government doing for rest of the applicants?

Big question is " IF THEY ARE WORKING ON BACKLOG THEN WHAT ABOUT 2016 APPLICANTS" ? .Seems like they are just going to replace 2016 applicants with 2015 one's.

Nothing done for spouse cases (I wish they could understand the emotions of newly married couple).

I dont think they need signed letter for address change CSE should be fine.
For me they took around 2 months to update Indian Address, Canadian address can be updated online and usually gets reflected in around 1-2 weeks

yes don't know why they asked me for a signed letter, its been one month, i was just concerned because i didnt get any acknowledgement letter saying they have received my documets i will wait for another month and see what happens, , thanks for your help

According to alloted quota in current year for spousal sponsorship that is 60000 only 22% has been achived an first quarter and they talk about the reducing thae processing time without any firm strategy....it's very frustrating...if they can't keep their promise so why can't they just keep their mouthshut

When did you send this appeal to the Minister's Office? Did you get any response?

How did you submit medical after applying? You didnt attach medical when you applied or was it expired and you did it again?

1. I had sent medical report by email to NDVO on 6th May'16 as per instruction in SA letter from CIC (post AOR2 - a/w with RPR Fee receipt)
2. No. I did not attach medical a/w application. (could have done upfront but was delayed)
3. Medical was still valid for 12months while sending to NDVO (valid upto March'2017)
4. The Medical center informed that No need to do re-medical, so I sent the same e-medical report.
