April 18, 2016 applicant here. File currently processing at NDVO since May 30, 2016.

My wife applied for a TRV in June 2016 and it got approved.
They had asked for extra documents in July - Sponsored spouse questionnaire, relationship proof (pictures and communication history) and it got approved in August. Hopefully the PR application will get processed before her 6 months stay finishes.
They gave her a 1 year multiple entry TRV though :)

Congrats Ghostrider..!!!

This is really a great hope for people like me, who's waiting for TRV results.

All the best....

My wife is not working, she dont have travel history, should i apply for her trv,? Any chances,?

Hi, for TRV ties with India plays the main role. Vacation letter from Job shows a tie with India.

But there is no harm in applying TRV, it has no impact on your PR application. Go ahead and try your luck.

Go for it, one guy on this forum wrote that his wife without job, no bank balance, still approved for TRV

Hello everyone,

My timelines areas under:

Premedical – Nov 2015
Application submitted: 2 Dec 2015
Application received: 3 Dec 2015
Letter from NDVO (asking for landing fee and PCC): dated 19 feb 2016

I checked status online and it says the following:

Quote“”
1. We received your application for permanent residence on December 3, 2015.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 19, 2016.
3. We started processing your application on February 12, 2016.
4. Medical results have been received.
””Unquote

Please help me clear confusion on below points:
a) The letter I received is the ONLY communication I have received from CIC. So the letter I got dated 19 Feb (asking for landing fee and PCC) is that AOR 1 or AOR 2?
b) How is it possible that letter acknowledging receipt of your application was sent on February 19, 2016 (NOT received by me) and letter from NDVO (asking for landing fee and PCC) is also dated feb 19???
c) Also should I begin to calculate my timeline from Dec 2015 or Feb 2016?
d) When we applied, processing time was 16 months now it is 19 months, the time frame will be 16 or19 months?

Senior members please help with my queries.

Also please do add my details in the spreadsheet.

Thanks in advance.

Hi , I'm may 25th applicant... I haven't received AOR1 or SA email on time, i did call them to send me SA email.

If you have already received AOR2 email from Delhi visa office there is no need to worry about your SA email (you approved as sponsor and app is currently at delhi visa office for further process)

NOTE: you don't need to worry Unless you have mentioned in the application like: proceed with processing if not approved to be a sponsor (also nothing wrong in checking with CIC call centre)

GIVE THEM A CALL BY 8:30 AM EST TOMORROW MORNING TO REACH THEM EASILY: DIAL 1 888 242 2100 (THEN DIAL 1.. 1... 1.)

Hi nav13, My wife was currently not working as well and travel history was only our trip together after marriage. I would say go for it, no harm in trying and it does not affect your PR negatively.
I would in fact say its a positive thing for PR as you are trying to be together.
Just make sure you show ties to India, in your case since she is not working, show her indian property evaluation papers (even if on parent's name) and bank statements.
Another thing I would suggest, block india-Canada return tickets for her and attach as proof of travel (Just block, dont pay - Agents here can do that for a small fee), once visa approved then you can buy that ticket.

Hello Ray_rey

a) The letter you received is a generic reply by New delhi VO and is AOR 2. It asks for landing fee (if not submitted yet) and PCC (if not submitted already).

b) answered.

c) Dec 2015

d) It will be 19 months but seniors can correct if wrong.

Good luck. Please keep updating us whenever any progress.
