Congrats Vikram!

How many days did it take between passport submission and ready for pick up?

And what does the visa look like? Is it like the COPR landing paper?

It took 4 days for passport to be ready to be picked.

Visa is the Immigrant visa stamped on your passport. That will allow your entry to Canada.
COPR is the confirmation of the PR status. This is an A4 size paper mentioning the details of the PA and the sponsor. There are two copies of the COPR, one with photo and one without. The one with photo will be submitted when you land and the other one will be signed, stamped and dated and returned. You must keep this copy safe. You’ll need it for applying for SIN, health insurance, driver’s license, etc. till your PR card arrives. After the PR card arrives, you will need the COPR in case you lose the card and have to apply again or for applying for citizenship later.

Before your get PPR, the status of PR side will (generally) change from In Process to Decision Made. On a rare case, you may get PPR email directly without the status being changed to DM. The three lines inside will remain the same.

Can someone please let me know if NDVO sends the original documents back? I know they used to send earlier, but do they still send them?

When passport is submitted to VFS, how is it returned? Does it have to be picked up from VFS Office or NDVO mails them? Or both options are available?

If mail option is available, is it mailed to mailing address on file, or it is to be provided when submitting to VFS?

Condition 51 is the condition on the COPR that the PA and sponsor have to cohabit for 2 years after the PA becomes PR. The PA is given the PR for 2 years which is then confirmed on meeting this condition. This is also referred to as conditional PR. It is given to spouses who are married for less than 2 years and do not have a child together.

When the passport is back the PA can pick up the passport in person from the VFS office or can authorize someone else to pick it up.
There is also an option to ask VFS to mail the passport to any address (which can be given at the time of submitting the passport). They will charge a fee for it. Give a call to VFS to confirm on this option.

Send it in. Don't wait, they might return the application for not having all the required docs. Send everything that's on the checklist.

You're welcome!

No, PCC is mandatory. Send "everything". Read "Factors that may delay processing", it's almost towards the bottom in this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3900ETOC.asp
