I checked my ecs status on Sunday showing DM and on Monday my representative forwarded the ppr email to me. I received ppr via email.

Already submitted my file in March so can't do much about it, but a question nonetheless:

I found out that in India, there are 2 ways to get PCC. One is from Passport Office and other is from local police station. I went for passport office while my friend got it from local police station. Does selecting one or the other affect the application? Does it affect time taken to verify this?

Asking this out of curiosity.

Hi. As far as i know, if you are currently living in India, then you get PCC from local police station. However if you are abroad, you get from the passport office.
Seniors can elaborate on this..
