Hi,

Congratulations for the good news!! I am silent follower. I wanted to ask did you apply on your own or did you have a consultant assist you? If you could provide any feedback with respect to how you prepared your file would really help.

Hi Guys,

I am Muskaan. I am very new to this forum. I have an agent who is preparing file for my hubby in India. He said he will be sending it to me and then I have to forward it to Mississauga office.

Can someone please help me on how I need to send this to Mississauga office? Is it a courier or any other kind of post?

And what will be the address. Really appreciate your help on this.

Thankewwwww

I am assuming you are applying outland for your husband. You can use Canada post or a private courier.

If you send by Canada Post:
Sponsorship: (Type of sponsorship)
Case Processing Centre ─ Mississauga
P.O. Box 3000, Station A
Mississauga, Ontario
L5A 4N6

If you send by Private Courier:
Sponsorship: (type of sponsorship)
Case Processing Centre – Mississauga
2 Robert Speck Parkway,
Suite 300
Mississauga, ON
L4Z 1H8

Here is the link for the information:

Make sure that the package is trackable.
Also, probably you already know, when you receive the file from your husband, you have to add your part of the application and then send both together to Mississauga.

March applicant , hope we hear some good news soon

Hi guys

I am a Feb 2016 applicant. My wife received the PPR yesterday & today she has submitted her PP to VFX Chandigarh.
After applying in Feb 2016, she changed her passport & added my last name on it. I had already notified of this change to NDVO about a month back via an email.
But the PPR letter she received yesterday, did not have her new last name on it.
So my question is will it affect her immigration in India or once she lands here in Canada? or even while buying a ticket?
Because i think the visa or the landing documents won't have the new last name on them !
Please answer.
Thanks

I am pretty sure they will not stamp the visa in her old name on the new passport. NDVO should have a question about it when they see your wife's new passport. Good thing is that you have already notified them about the name change. Unfortunately they did not notice it.

Did you include any letter with the passport mentioning the difference in the name on the email and passport?
You'll have to wait to hear something from NDVO. If they issue the visa and COPR in the new name then you are good. If they issue in the old name (very unlikely), you'll have to get it corrected before your wife can land in Canada. CBSA probably will deny her entry because of different surnames on the COPR and passport.

We have submitted our application to CIC. My wife's passport copy has D/O _______ and her father's name. Should this be changed to wife of (my name) before getting SA, or please advise when to get this change done? Or, is this change not needed at all?

The passport has a column for W/O. There is no need to replace her father's name but just add your name in W/O column.
Adding your name in her passport is not mandatory. You'll be fine without doing it. Considering the speed of processing from NDVO these days, I would suggest that you don't do it since the application is with NDVO for a very few days and they might not notice the changes. See the above post from d_chahal. Her wife notified the passport change to NDVO and they didn't record it. So if you only want to add your name in her passport, I'd say you are better off without it.

But if you want to change your wife's surname also, then I'd suggest you do it in India before the application is finalized. You'll have to make sure that the copy of the changed passport reaches NDVO between SA and DM. Send it by 2-3 modes of communication. It would be quite some hassle if you would like to change your wife's surname in Canada after the PR card is issued.

Agree with Vikram.. I would also suggest future applicants who want to add their last name on wife's passport, better do that before sending application to CIC.. don't rush .. Adding last name on wife's passport is one more proof to prove a legal marriage. but it's not mandatory.

GoodLuck to all applicants who are still waiting for DM/PPR... hope this weekend would be as great as the last one was.. hope to see more and more DM/PPR coming :) :)
