I have applied on 15th Nov but No updates.ShaliVin said:Hi guys.... I applied for TRV on Nov. 20. Just got Passport request in email. No change in cic status. I had no funds in my account or a job or travel history. But my husband has sufficient funds and a good corporate job. Apply for TRV friends. Take chance.
No need to register marriage twice...dont worry, you wont face issue on this front.Nitulapointe said:Hi Friends,
I am the PR applicant and my husband lives in Canada.
As I was reading through the post, I just learnt that NDVO actually verifies the marriage to be genuine while they conduct the eligibility review.
All of a sudden, I am so scared, as in my case I got married in Canada first and have a marriage certificate from there(Alberta). Since I already have registered my marriage in Canada I never felt the need to register it in India. Do you think I should've registered it in India as well??
Your responses will be highly appreciated.
Thanks !
same i applied on Nov 3rd and no updates.romil0909 said:I have applied on 15th Nov but No updates.
You do not need to worry about because you are married in Canada and that's a big genuine proof for them to verify as compared to in India.Nitulapointe said:Hi Friends,

Thanks Vish for the reply... I got pretty concerned.. Yes, I married my husband when i was in Canada.. then came back to India for our Indian Marriage and decided to stay here and apply for PR..vish549 said:You do not need to worry about because you are married in Canada and that's a big genuine proof for them to verify as compared to in India.
You do not need or necessary to have a two marriage certificate from both country.
I think your case is stronger because your marriage is registered in Canada.
I believe you was in Canada with your spouse and then marry in canada.
Best of luckNitulapointe said:Thanks Vish for the reply... I got pretty concerned.. Yes, I married my husband when i was in Canada.. then came back to India for our Indian Marriage and decided to stay here and apply for PR..
