Hi,

Well I filed tax returns for 2015 through H & R block. My wife is here since dec 2015, I updated CRA records online.

Using any online tax return tools; I could not file return coz as soon as I say married on forms; system asked for wife SIN which I dont have coz she is here on visitor visa.

So I visited H & R block and explained them the story, they using their own in house system were able to file returns that includes my wife.

CRA processed the return and refunded me x amount.

In my opinion; you have to go to H&R block, its expensive around 160$ they charged me. but that is the way I found.

Thanks dude. I also called my tax accountant who does my IT return filing, and he told me the same that I can claim tax return for her as a dependent, no matter what visa she is on. As far as she is in Canada, its considered as dependent. Thanks for the H&R option too.

Aor1 19 July
And 22 September cpc Mississauga sent my file back to my wife with one latter
Your representative is not authorised appoint a representative or send it on your behalf
After this my wife remove representative form from our file and resend file send to cpc Mississauga on 30 September
Now we are waiting for our sponsor approval?
Any idea how long it is ?
My current status is
We received your application to sponsor Xxxxx on June 28, 2016.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on July 19, 2016.
We started processing your application on July 18, 2016.
We sent you a letter on September 22, 2016. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

SA approvals are officially done with in 40 business days so hang in there. Was the Sept 22 letter for removing the representative? If yes, count 40 business days from that point onwards.

if you are looking for decision made on the Sponsor application than it takes roughly 2 months. but your file should be transfer to respected country withing 40 - 53 days.

anywhere from 3 months to 9 months depending on ur luck and case

Guys,

I applied for GCMS notes of my wife's successful TRV.
Once I get, I will update you if eligibility check of PR had any impact on it or not

My wife got her passport back with TRV.
Multiple entry visa valid till 2025.

I hope we get PPR soon as we are stuck in background check

did u checked with MP about ur background check in progress, few people from 2015 thread did that and they were told that their application review is completed but PR can't be printed due to high application volume.

we haven't seen a single PPR in last 2 - 3 weeks so not sure which high application volume, they are talking about.

How long does it take to get Decision Made after AOR2? Any idea?

Rule of thumb assumption is 7-9 months end to end which we have seen with some candidates while others have been waiting a while longer, so in reality no clue. But welcome to the group.
