What's meant by travel history?
For sponsor or spouse?

My wife has not travelled anywhere outside India. Other than that we have very minimal travel history together -- only marriage time travel and honeymoon.

Hi guys i sponsored my wife in june 5 2016 and they recived it on june 8 2016 then i got a aproval email on August 10 2016 that they are sending it to new delhi then I recived a email on August 19 2016 from new delhi saying that they recevied it and i was wondering what are the next steps going to be and when i check on mycic app it only has 2 lines and i was wondering when the third line will come up

Yesterday I got the letter for Sponsorship Approval and today the Sponsor side changed to Decision Made. Nothing to rejoice, its just that CIC sent out posts altogether from March-June applicants for SA and updated today on ECAS. I once asked CIC agent and she told me that CIC sents out notifications for SA in batches. That's why we all can see this Decision Made on SA side. I hope its clear to everyone now.

I (Sponsor) got my SA in April 2016 but SA - DECISION mADE happened yesterday (was IN PROCESS). Seems like a batch process for SA Approved was done yesterday.

Next steps could be possibly something like:
- Interview request (fairly low chances but possible)
- Communication (On PA email) from VO for additional documents/fees/medical etc (depending on what is provided vs. missing/required)
- You may likely see now/future Sponsor side status change to Decision Made ( since we all are experiencing lately)
- Eventually you 'd receive Passport request and Decision made

Tip:
Since your file is fairly new, quite a few people are waiting from 2015 and early 2016 so, this might cause some freeze period - "Be Patient as Immigration is a lengthy process"

Hello,

I am preparing for spousal sponsorship application outland. For the marriage certificate as per the checklist i need to provide a copy of the certificate. Nothing else is expected. But on my certificate there is a stamp at the bottom which states that to use this document in foreign countries it needs to be authenticated by MEA, India. Now this sounds like a pain. Do i really need to do do this?

This pain is worth bearing, since it mentions clearly on your certificate (not atleast in my case), there are chances that VO may request you authenticated one. So I would suggest you take this pain and file your application correctly to avoid hassle at later stages

Well congrats, Ideally it should be couple of weeks but i am counting u as my guinea-pig. I would be looking forward on how long it takes for you to get a passport request.

Do update this forum when u receive one so one's after u have a estimated timeline
