Guys, linking application online is not gonna show you anything on up to date status. one of the applicant on inland processing thread posted that his status on background check was showing as not started, although he received his decision on mail. I would think, this online status is not directly linked to immigration online system(i think GCMS).

As per my timeline any idea from your past experience when can i expect background check or visa issuance? It's already been more than 6 months now... living away from wife is killing...trust me

can i link my spouse's application under my cic account or does it have to be under my wife's cic account?

I need to know that too .I tried under my spouse account who is PA but when i went to options for the place where i live i do not see any options for India or Indian province then i decided to make account for me I am sponsor and live in Canada .I filled in all the info but still was not successful to attache the application .

I have also linked my application and its showing medical passed and eligibility review in progress. Rest is not started.

when i called MP last week he said background check has started but in mycic its saying not started. what can i expect is right.

can you people also share ur timeline to knw what is the status normally and how updated it is?

The processing time is not going that fast and you will have no problems with the student permit rejections

Thanks for ur reply but my lawyer said we should expect the processing time to be around 18 months eventhough ppl r getting visa issued in 7-9 months because of my earlier refusal they might doubt the genuineness of our marriage .

You entered information that is different from what you submitted on your application

The information you enter to link your application must match what you had on your application when you submitted it. If you updated information after you submitted your application, enter the most recent information we would have on file.

You can try to link an application five times. If you are unsuccessful after five attempts, you will be locked out for 24 hours.

An immigration representative is handling your file.

If you have hired a representative, only the representative can access the application status through the Authorized Paid Representatives Portal. You must remove the representative from your file to link your application.

Upload the Use of a Representative (IMM 5476) form to your account, with “cancelling the appointment of a representative” selected on the form. Once we check the form, you will be able to access information about your application.

why dont we start a PETITION about promise made by liberals in their campaign to process files within six months. or was it a clear lie from liberals just to get votes from people.WAS IT A LIE to process files within 6 months.
even it they say we dont have much resources then at least they can provide visitor visa to our partners abroad so that we can spend some time together .
other countries such as Australia, New Zealand provide visitor visa to spouses immediately after their marriage.
Is it so hard to provide visitor visa whose PR file is already under process i.e. all required documents submitted.
why they are increasing separation time instead of decreasing.

its strange - if you are a work permit you can bring your spouse on work permit, you can not be together just because you are permanent resident
