so does it mean i cant link my application if he has authority to see the application.

.. Was hoping for a miracle .. From the definition, this just means that they haven't been able to look at the file yet.

Almost nothing change

I submitted additional document on 18th and delivered on 20th July 2016 but it's nothing mention over there.

Just a quick question why did someone delete my line in the xls for NDVO 2016?? It was first line app received 15 Jan, first aor and sponsor both 25 Feb, 21 March for NDVO aor and also notice of in process. We are still in process. I had it on the sheet but someone deleted it.. Was there something wrong with my entry?

Anyway we are still in process even though many who applied after us seem to have decision made... Very odd since my background is military in Canada with security clearance and he has no issues in his background. In. Fact he runs an NGO helping people and has several international awards.

Anyway can I put our line back in the spreadsheet? Or was there some reason it was deleted?

I am thinking about creating a new spreadsheet (I'll retrieve all the lost data and put it in this new spreadsheet). And all rows will be locked. Individual users can PM me and I can give them access to edit their own rows. New users will be able to enter data using a web form. If you already entered data in the existing spreadsheet, you won't have to do it again. I'll take care of porting data.

I'll try to add more features at a later date.

Are people interested? I will wait for 48 hours for response to this post and decide based on responses received.

To my fellow people
I was reviewing the linking mycic application
It wont give you any more super insight to your application than what you see in cas but a bit more specific. I have gone through information that people linked their application both 2015 and 2016.seems to me that there is not much activities being done in ndvo.review of eligibility is an ongoing process and it will only finish close to your dm.if anyone of you having a background check in progress which is a good sign and that get initiated usually towards the final stage of applications review. And it is being done by csis....and this will take 15 days to few months.you can even contact csis to see if they hsve started this for you or not with proper documentation.so my conclusion is the rest of the 2016 applications who never got ppr by now will have a same situation as others like 2014 and 15.i dont know whst we could do to change this situation. Keep praying

In discussion with local community members in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canadian Minister of Immigration John McCallum emphasised that his department is “committed to streamlining things, to getting rid of silly rules, to improving the way the system operates.”

Immigration issues have been at the forefront of the new Atlantic Growth Strategy, announced on July 4. The Atlantic provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island (P.E.I.), and Newfoundland and Labrador are seeking to improve their employment rates and stimulate their economies by attracting skilled immigrants and refugees to settle in Atlantic Canada.

McCallum recognised that in order for this to succeed, immigration procedures need an overhaul.

"Lots needs to be fixed. The processing times are too long. Sometimes the decisions are arbitrary. People are denied visas to come to Canada when common sense says they should be given visas," he said.

McCallum clarified that a main focus moving forward is the commitment to the Liberal Party campaign promise to reduce immigration processing times for spousal sponsorship applications, and that further proposals for this would be made in the fall (Autumn) of this year.

Streamlining the process for immigration candidates has been a major focus for the department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC, formerly CIC) since McCallum was handed the Ministry last November. Earlier this year, McCallum announced his goal to simplify the process for international students to transition to permanent residence, saying, “They should be first on our list of people who we court to come to Canada.”

Hey JohnyBeGood, from your timeline you mentioned about IELTS being sent with the application for Family spouse PR. Is this needed? Dont recall seeing this requirement anywhere, or is it that in your case there was a requirement for it?

I have a question, I am a bit curious about.

After linking our application to MyCIC, I see that " review of medical results : passed " .

While processing our application, if our medical results expire now - do we still have to do a re-medical ?

My take would be yes.. but wishful thinking that passed means we don't have to go through a re-med and the subsequent wait/delay in getting the file through.
Anybody knows for sure though?

My permanent residence application under spousal sponsorship has been received by CIC on October 2015 and my file has been transferred to India on December 2015 but i haven't heard anything back regarding medical exam or something else.
please if anyone has any information how long it will take to be asked for Medical test please let me know
