I am a Filipina sponsoring my Indian husband who is now in Bahrain. This is our timeline:

App. recvd: May 13, 2016
AOR1 : June 4, 2016
SA: July 8, 2016

I only confirm that I am approved to sponsor him thru phone call in CIC. I have never received any email for SA. The agent said his file will be transferred to New Delhi. Since I am not very much aware of the procedures in NDVO unlike in Manila Visa Office, does NDVO sends AOR2 and what's the average days to wait?

Another question, what is the average months a straightforward application receives a visa ( in Manila the average is around 7-9 months)? I can also see alot of interviews are being done in NDVO ( which is very rare in MVO).

That's a million dollar question, processing time varies and lately more delays are seen from NVDO. i don't know what's going on ::) ::) ::)

Is it recommended to apply GCMS notes now at this early stage? 2 months since app received? I just saw the 2016 NDVO application sheet and I was amazed there are some who got their visas in just 3 months! wow! How special are their cases?

Yeah it will help you to figure out if cic thinks your case is straightforward. ..yeah it was so nice to see a few 2016 cases finalized in 3 months

Hi All,

I am sponsoring my spouse for the permanent residence. I just realized that I made a mistake in the Schedule A Background/Declaration. On the question 8) Personal History- I forgot to mention 6 months period during which my spouse was Unemployed after finishing up studies. What should I do to correct this? I received my sponsorship approval last week and my spouse application is now transferred to new delhi visa office. Please advise

Dont even worry about it spousal sponsorship is not processed like a skilled worker immigration and minor issues will be outlooked and so dont worry until they ask for it

I have a different opinion on this than johny. If their is a gap on Schedule A, NDVO will most probably ask for a new form, which means adding some processing time to the application. It's better if you yourself fill in a new form and send it to them. You can send it through case specific inquiry and courier.

I have made one mistake on form no IMM 5669. I rectified it. Filled up new form with covering letter. And sent it to NEW DELHI OFFICE.
I received the acknowledgement of the same. :) :)
