Hello Everyone,

I am applying for my wife's PR under Family class. Got struck here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IDENTITY AND CIVIL STATUS DOCUMENTS
Birth and/or baptism certificate
Note: If the birth is registered late, include the original baptism certificate and other original documents establishing identity such as:
• old school records (Fifth class, Middle standard and Matriculation certificate), and
• Voter’s ID card.

My Wife has her birth certificate. But the birth was registered late.

If i send the following documents :

1. Birth Certificate (Photocopy)
2. Voter ID card (Original)
3. Seventh class memo (Original)
4. SSC xerox copy (notarized)
5. Passport copy (Notarized)

Will these documents be ok ? Please Let me know what you guys have done for this.

Thanks,
Anil.

I have submitted below documents and I got approval from CIC. They don't ask any specific documents but it's good to send them as we have to filled up "personal history table"
  • Passport copy
  • Birthday certificate
  • Marriage Certificate
  • 10th and 12th passing certificates + mark sheets
  • Last leaving certificate from school
  • Collage mark sheets & graduation certificate
  • Adhar card
  • Voter ID Card

I downloaded the PR datadump for 2010 - 2015 found at http://open.canada.ca/data/en/dataset/427337d0-7c36-4fed-8428-c6a63f8c19b3
When filtered for "Federal" destinations, "New Delhi", "2015" and then checked "Family Class" it emerged that "80% of the cases were completed within 20 months or less".

Sh1t !!! So average timeline is NOT 17 months but 20 months for NDVO. Not cool....

:(
:o

Now, you will receive AOR2 from NDVO (in 2 weeks) then wait for around 1 year ( as of last year ) . Hope to have some miracle for faster process from NDVO.

Hey, Vihan
Congrats. Our time line is the same... let's hope for some miracle from NDVO. ;)

Hello friends, congrats who have received AOR from Delhi office :) :) I received mine today. Now I know it's a long wait to hear from Delhi office but I hope they will process applications faster this year. So far all process looked faster from submitting the file to AOR from Delhi office. It took only 45 days in my case.

Goodluck everyone!!

Received AOR1 today :)
I have a question. The AOR1 mentions my UCI (I am the sponsor) and not my spouse's UCI (my spouse already has a UCI from a previous application). Is this how it is supposed to be? Will my spouse's UCI be mentioned in AOR2?

Yes, I think so, as AOR1 is sent to sponsors mentioning their details. then AOR2 is sent to PA mentioning their details
