there are four stages well explained by qorax

Stage-1: [CIO stage] Send Initial Apps+Processing Fees to CIO-NS > Qualitative Check > Issue of AOR+120 days Letter >

Stage-2: [CHC stage onwards] Send Full Docs+RPRF to the Local Visa Office > File on Queue > e-Cas: "Received by Visa Office" > Eligibility Check+PSDEC > Issue of 2nd AOR > Background Check > Issue of Additional docs Request [if any] > 1st BF'D > e-Cas: "In Process" > Send Addnl. Docs > Issue of Med Request > 2nd BF'D >

Stage-3: Meds Sent > e-Cas: "Medical Results Recd." > Issue of PPR* > Send Passport/s > Security Check > Visa/s Stamped > e-Cas: "Decision Made" >
*The Meds & PPR are sometimes 'clubbed' together.

Stage-4: Return of 'Stamped' Passport/s+COPR > Landing at the POE > e-Cas: "Completed".

I've recently got my IELTS results and now I would be applying for canada PR under skilled worker category. I have downloaded all the requisite forms and gone through them. Right now I just want to know the different steps of process which take place and about which I should be aware of. seniors plz help
today i got a call from canadian embassy and they told me for additional test of my wife..they told me that they have send me the letter regarding that but i did not got any...now she is saying she will mail me the same...plz tell me is everything already..why they are asking for extra exam ,how long it will take visa to stamp as its already been 4 months that i have submitted my passports
