I am planning to invite my friends from india to visit me for Christmas and New year Celebration ? , I live in Toronto as work as software developer . I am in dilemma whether to apply online or on paper application for him. Which has the more approval rate ?

You can ensure a higher *approval rate* by showing your friends have a clear purpose of visit + strong ties to India + adequate finances
