New Delhi Consulate Calls?

Does the ND Consulate call certain people to ensure the validity or truthfulness of a marriage? Just wondering. Certain people meaning, family friends??

Appreantly they do randomly call the applicants and ask a feq questions that's already on the application..I don't beileve they call family and friends... check out the ND thread.... we recently had a member..who's husband got a call..

Thanks Brin..im in the process of applying for my hubby and im kinda nervous..he had a us immigrant visa petition that he had actually withdrawn a year ago due to personal reasons, i just hope that is not an issue cos technically, he wasnt denied, he took it back.

I can see that your timeline was really really quick, how did you manage that?

No prob..I'm also sponsoring my husband.. I don't think the US Visa would be an issue..cause it's not related to ur spousal application. Even if the visa was denied it wouldn't hurt ur spousal application, if it was based on the fact that they didn't believe he had enough ties to his country to return back.

ND is pretty quick in issuing visa's. We have alot of people on the thread who has got visa's in 2-3 mnths.

I think they might look at my application more closly as it's my second marriage...still I'm hoping it wouldn't take more than mnths in total..that's how fast they are..nevertheless they do screw up some cases and take way longer than it should...no idea why!
Good luck...just make sure u send in a solid application.

i agree with brin's advice...i have read on this forum that some applicants did recieved the calls from chc nd...

In the "background declaration" form, it asks if the applicant has ever been denied a visa..technically, my husband was not denied a visa but his file was put under administrative processing for many years (2006-2010). In 2010 (Feb/Mar), he went to the US embassy in New Delhi and voluntarily cancelled his petition since he was tired of waiting for their decision and he had to concentrate on his business in India.

My concern is, since he had cancelled it on his own, he should just mention that he did cos if he doesn't, CIC might question him since he has a stamp on his passport that says "US VISA IMMIGRANT Application received"

Yes, he needs to mention it. Although he withdrew it, CIC will see the stamp in his PP and wonder why he didn't mention it at all. By mentioning it and telling them what happened, he reduces any need for them to go checking on it.

the only reason i belive they called my husband is because i myself filled out all the sponsor partner questionarir and he just signed declaring its true.
and he knew every answer to questions they asked
maybe they thought our love was to much to be true lol
i did send intimate pictures of us hugging..kissing..and stuff it does help

I don't recommend anyone sending intimate pictures. New Delhi will think- "what are these guys trying to prove?" They know Indian culture is conservative and such pictures are not expected. So if someone does send these pictures, it will raise an alarm for sure.

@Deepv, I wouldn't be surprised if this is why your husband got a call from ND!

lol its different now... we are like second generation teenage couple...i was born and raised in canada, and my honey is very sweet...but if thats what it took to get a call from new delhi..and get a ppr...and atleast know they are working on it... I would never take it back, and they are pleased to know everything asked was answered perfect.

thanks lol...but i do understand what your saying by the culture perspective.. we did contemplate about it..but the more proof the better...some people get refused for having photos with no contact..no emotion..or chemisrtry together
