hello everyone

so its September and I heard they are going to make changes to the immigration system in fall ,,, its fall here ,, what do you guys think they will clear our file ..I am so frustrated as me and many other waiting for over 15 months and please don't get me wrong ppl who applied after us theirs case already cleared ..and I don't know what to do so they can look at out files

Fall has not started yet .....It starts from September 22 and goes till December 22......they said IN FALL not As soon as fall starts ,so seems they will announce new /changed rules before December 22,2016 and anyways they announced earlier that they are hoping to streamline the spouse visa processing by end of this year or by early next year so I am hoping that our cases should be finalized before this year 2016 ends if not it should be done in first first quarter in 2017 ....

It takes 4-6 weeks after remedical to get ppr. But few applicants get it in 1-2 weeks

applicants eligibility evaluated by NDVO

10 weeks and counting.. It's really making me nervous. I will be applying for notes. It's already been a year since they transferred my application from Mississauga..

I am Sept 2015 Applicant, looking at the pace, it seems, its gonna be few more months before I get any update.

BTW Workaround provided by Taniam and JMCanadian worked in my case. Quoted below
"so i was in the same position as you! i had emailed cic and they told me to try something. in the city of birth section, just press the spacebar once and dont enter anything else in that field. then put in the country. and don't fill out anything under passport info. try that! it worked for me finally!"

I also had to to put 2 in number of persons in application

You're not the last one my friend, There are others, Me for example. I've responded to re-medical request and then they asked for other information and a separate personal particulars form form of my son who just turned 18 and the GCkey says Review of eligibility - is in progress, review of documents - Provided, A Background Check is needed - In progress, Scheduling an interview ; Not required at this time.
I guess it just takes time, requires patience, No amount of logical reasoning will satisfy doubts or apprehensions :
Re : GCkey - Have you created an account? That's the first step, then link application. I created my account through a banking channel partner and then linked it. just follow steps as available on website. write here again if you face an obstacle...

Assuming you filled all details correctly, No of people in application is 2 if only you and your sponsoring spouse are in application, 3 if a dependent child is also included in application, add to that no for every additional dependent in application.

Will depend upon whether you intend to carry it back with you or leave it behind/sell it in Canada. Personal jewelry is permitted excessive could be questioned. Duty free imports have a ceiling of 800 CAD.
