Hi kam_coolkam_cool said:Can Anyone answer this??
I got an email from the MP's office after the Re-medical.
Here is the response:
- Following the interview, the eligibility assessment on your application has been finalized and completed on August 8th, 2016.
- Medical assessment have also been passed
- Background checks, including security and criminality, are still ongoing
- The current processing time is 19 months and the file is expected to be completed on or before this time.
THIS UPDATE IS AFTER OUR INTERVIEW WAS COMPLETED AND I DID AN MP INQUIRY.
ANY SUGGESTIONS OR THOUGHTS ON THIS??

That is a perfectly normal response and also a positive one because eligibility is approved meaning they have no doubts about the relationship anymore. Your file is in the last stages (i.e. background and security checks) and for that everyone's file is different. Some people clear background checks in a week or two, others like myself now are waiting for 5 weeks after the interview without any news. So just depends on the applicant's background and history. When did you apply and when was your interview?
No we submitted medical at the interview. They had not requested for one in the mail. We just wanted to save time so we submitted it at the time of the interview but all in vain because we are still waiting 5 weeks after the interview (the interviewer was convinced and said she is going to approve the application).kam_cool said:Hi Priya,
so did you get a remedical after your interview and after how long did you get it.
We applied on March 20, 2015 and the interview was on August 8th.

Not true at allharry1612 said:Guys just a little update that one of my friend told me after doing an mp inquiry. His MP told him that IRCC told them that when you order for GCMS notes the officer halts complete processing on the file until the notes get delivered. After that it gets assigned to another team which causes delay. My friend was ordering every month in frustration and has still not got any updates after 13 months. So his MP told him to patiently wait and not to order unless really necessary. I do not know how much of this is true, but just thought of sharing what I got to know.
