Hey dear
When you have submitted your application? And in how long you get the medical request email?
My application has been received by CIC on October 2015 and transferred to New Delhi office on December 2015 but I didn't get any medical request email yet.
Please share your experience with me
Thanks

Hi friends,

July 14, 2015 applicant.
Status still shows, "We started processing your application on September 18, 2015."
Could someone please tell me if its getting close or not? It has been a long wait.

Update to my wife's file

August 3 - Remeds requested.

I have a question: She is currently with me in Calgary on a visit visa. Does anyone have prior experience where they did a remed request within Canada? What all questions were asked? She doesnt have an Alberta Health Care Card.

I applied for her sponsorship in June 2015.

We applied for her visit visa in July 2016 and got it.

Hi Vizzy,

Congrats for re-medical.
Did you link your application, if you do what it says?

Thank you for the congrats. It's been a long wait and now a bit stress free.

I havent linked my application. I've tried numerous times and it always gives me a rejection. I am able to check my application on ECAS, but not on the link application portion.

I did some more minor research. It looks like the medical test from a panel physician costs between $200-$250 and they are strict about CASH ONLY. Then a separate lab and x ray test needs to be done which costs about $100 total. For the lab and xray test, my wife doesnt have an Alberta Health Card, will she be prevented from having the test done?

Hi Vizzy,

She won't be prevented from having test done, as she doesn't have health card you have to pay expenses. Everything will be fine, just make an appointment with Doctor and tell them why you need medical test for your wife and show them medical request letter. Best of luck

Awesome news.

Also, are you one of the moderators for the tracking spreadsheet? Is it possible to update my info?
