There are inland offices that you can go to. They can validate your PR as well. You dont need to cross border to do that.

You don't need a US visa....you just need your passport and COPR....when u reach US border let them know you are here for landing...they will check ur passport and COPR and redirect you to canada...and then there you will get landing paper which they will attach with your passport...

Really very upset no update today

Once we receive the passport back along with some letters..

Is there a particular envelop which is sealed and we are not supposed to open it? I heard that envelop is supposed to be opened by the visa officer upon landing.

Does anybody have any insight on that?

I do not know whether MP really enquire or just answer eligibility and background checks are not started. I visited MP office 10 days ago and I received PPR and decision made on 16th May. Either MP didn't inquire or NDVO can take decision on 1 file in just 10 days. Morever she said me you did a mistake by applying TRV when eligibility was not passed you shouldn't apply for TRV. i said NDVO takes file between 10th -12 th months then what is fun of applying TRV when PR gonna approve.
Anyways, finally Passport already submitted on tge same day and now waiting for VISA.

I wish this happens with me too. I too visited MP office 9 days ago. But no updates yet.

I can understand your situation .... I have the same timeline as you, I'm Apr 23, 2015 applicant, and its very upsetting that we have no updates and no medicals yet too.

We will pray that we all get our partner close to us soon.

take care. :)

Hey guys just a thaught may b ndvo is today busy in interview of 2014 applicants that's why there is no update on our files

Applying for visitor visa is not a waste of time. It is worth applying for it at least once! It is a hit and miss and there are no hard and fast rules for guaranteeing it. It depends on luck and Visa officer's mood.

I applied in last week of April for my wife and she got it. She quit her job in March so she was unemployed when I applied. She doesn't have any travel history except going to Singapore for 5 days with me for a trip.

For people in May who haven't gotten re-med. Apply for notes every month. I am April 30 applicant and I haven't gotten re-med either. I just applied for my 4th set of notes yesterday. As soon as I get my notes, I check if there is any progress and if not then I apply again.

Hi friends, need some help here. I am a 2nd june 2015 applicant. I received full medical (not remedical) on 11th may and submitted it on 16th may. My medical was due to expire on 14th may, still I got full medical. Now I received a call from Canada Immigration high commission yesterday in morning at 8:53 am from this number 141- 782000. Unfortunately I missed the call. When I called back the same number operator told me that I have to wait for the next call now, also there is no way to notify them that I called back. I have been waiting today for there call but didn't receive any. I am not sure what's this going to lead to. I am worried. Is this going to delay the file process. So is there anyone with whom same thing happened and they know what needed to be done next.

Kindly help. Any help is appreciated. :)))

Don't worry they will call you again. Hopefully you won't miss the call this time! (take ur phone everywhere lol or give it to someone when you go for bath)

It has happened to one applicant in the past where they called and no one picked up. Usually they call back later. Just have patience, you are almost done since you already got re-medical.

If I were you, I would apply for notes too.
