Hi,

I am considering the following scenario. Please let me know if this is possible or if there is anything to watch out for:

- My application is still in process
- My wife came on a visit visa to Canada last year. It is a multiple entry visit visa. I plan to have her here with me while we're waiting for for the passport request.
- Her medicals were done March 2, 2015. Have not heard about a remed request from NDVO as yet.
- Havent had an interview request either.

My questions:
- How likely is the interview request at this stage?
Its hard to comment abt interview at this stage as ndvo is still processing april and may files n ordering notes will not help u much.....u can get to knw abt ur eligibility by ordering gcms notes but i suggest u to apply in May end to get some usefull update on ur file...
- If she is here in Canada, and gets a remed request - can she get her medicals done in Canada and send the remeds to NDVO?
Yes,definately she can do remeds in Canada frm the panel physician listed on cic website.....many member's on forum hv done remeds in Canada itself....
- With her passport request for stamping, will i be able to send to India to my parents so they can forward to the NDVO?
Aftr she receives her ppr email ....she can send her passport to ottawa fr stamping n complete landing procedure thru flagpole....instructions fr the same are mentioned in ur passport request email....

Thanks all!
Vizzy

hi Vizzy,

Whats your timeline?

Yes you can do the reassessment of medicals request here when she receieves it.

Also as and when she receives here ppr, her passport can be sent to Ottawa itself

The only reason she might have to get back is in case she receieves a interview but hopefully thats not the case

To be sure you can first apply for GCMS notes if your application is close to 11 months and once you receive it look at the eligibility section and if it says interview waived you she is good to come here for good

Thanks

Thanks for your info boateng. My wife's timeline is listed on the left, just under my user name. I got the AOR in June and SA in August 2015.

Hi Nabaaf,

Thanks for your quick response.

- I think my wife will be here before end of May. My birthday is in Mid-may and she wants to be here for it. I'm hoping that there is no interview request.
- Remeds: Since she is an Indian citizen, she likely wont have an Alberta health card. So will a cic physician still take her to get the remeds done? I dont think the remed application is too expensive and I am ready to pay for it.
- PPR request: Wont it be the NDVO office that asks for her passport? I am surprised that she can send it to Ottawa. Remember, she did an outbound application.

Its interesting, a person could apply from India for Spousal sponsorship, get the SOA approved and then apply for visit visa, and stay in Canada and get the passport request and send to Ottawa. Lol.

Usually it takes anywhere between 1 month to 2 months after Re-Med to get PPR/DM.
You could be getting it next week!

I want to know that when you receive GCMS notes, where do you look for the interview needed or not?

Will it be mentioned as a separate note at the end or somewhere in the middle within those small sections.

Thanks.

it should be at the end in notes. I haven't seen any detail regarding interview on my last GCMS notes, so i do not have more idea. i think whoever got interview required in their notes can answer your question properly.

thanks.

Congratulations akashchokshi...
I am also 8th May applicant.
My medicals expired on 9th Of April.
:(
Eagerly waiting for the update on my file too.

Just hang in that Ksk! The last update I received before this was was in July.. My file actually never went "in process". I was scared the might have lost my file. But thankfully it seems that they do have it.

The results of initial medical examinations for yourself has expired. In order to provide your application with an updated validity we require following additional medical examination(s) for yourself:
Chest Xray (in DICOM / JPEG format) with report (in PDF)
Completed MEDICAL REPORT CHEST X-RAY REQUISITION AND REPORT form (Page 5 and 6 of IMM5419) (in PDF)
Duly completed Re-assessment Form (Attached herewith)

Finally got remedical request on 11april and my lawyer just sent me this email on 12 april. Just confuse if its full medical or just chest xray.

Also can someone plz tell me what to bring to the doctor.

It is just Chest X-Ray and not a full medical.

I think Nabaaf had posted this in his earlier post:

www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/partner/pp/
All that you need for re medicals is
1.passport and copies of passport
2.2 photographs
3.the e mail that's been send by medical immigration officer
4. The attachment (re assessment form)

Does anyone know after getting visa stamped, in how many months you have to enter into Canada? I think they give you 6months expiry date. If anyone has confirm answer would be really appreciable.

Anytime before your medical expires or passport expires. Whichever is the earliest. They will list the expiry date on your visa stamp I think.

If your medical is expiring next month then you gotta enter before that.
