Hello all... I did MP inquiry yesterday and he sent me this information.

Hello Keyur and Priti
CIC advised:
- In Process will remain as the status until the application is finalized. It is not updated over the course of processing
- spousal PR submitted March 2015
- forwarded to New Delhi May 2015
- 17 months processing from that point
- should be completed by October 2016
- new medicals are on file
- background checks are underway
- client is currently in Canada on a visitor visa
- should she be in Canada when Delhi requests her passport at the completion of PR application processing - she advises them she is in Canada and the information will be forwarded to CIC Ottawa
- this office acts as a visa office and the request for her passport will come from them, with direction to do an in-Canada landing
- she must make sure to keep her visitor status current, by applying for an extension prior to her current visa expiring

Should you require further information please contact me......

any suggestions form anybody that can help me?
Thank you

Hmmm seems like MP inquiry doesn't really give any new information. You knew all of that info already right? We also know that some applicants have got their visas in 11/12 months or sooner for some lucky ones. I think one applicant got it in 10 months. They always say 17 months processing as that is what it says on line. I think you will get a better picture by ordering notes. I think that was a lazy response! Too bad they can't give more info.

That's correct, if u already have ordered notes, MP inquiry doesn't give any new info. Usually ppl's files are stuck in background and security checks (if no interview recommended)

Congrats! Everything is good on ur file. They just need to complete ur background and security checks... Which sometimes can take a while. Also if ur wife spends 6 months in Canada, then they will ask for her RCMP police clearance too (might add slight delay)

hi..i am in canada for more than 6 months now..but i have not got any request for police clearance yet..
could this be the reason for delay in my application?

No, in case they need report, they will update you.

Guys .. I have been following this forum for few months now and I tried to make sense of information we have as of now about NDVO

Applications Received by NDVO as per latest data
It seems that they moved approximately 1700 applications in around 3 months
IMPLIES -- Monthly processing of 600 applications
Asumming half of April is complete and there are 500 more in backlog from 2015

Dec/2014 417
Jan/2015 322 Dec-15
Feb/2015 370
Mar/2015 564
Apr/2015 726 Mar-16
May/2015 831 Apr-16
Jun/2015 809 May-16 Jun-16
Jul/2015 655 Jun-16
Aug/2015 487 Jul-16
Sep/2015 395 Jul-16 Aug-16
Oct/2015 338 Aug-16
Nov/2015 300 Sep-16
Dec/2015 91 Sep-16

So it seems that April to June last year is piled up for the Delhi office. Upside to this is that new government has 50 more FTEs (full-time equivalents on Spouse cases). I am not sure how it is going to translate, but lets keep it as upside of 15-30 days of faster processing.

Based on all this if they can clear next two months i.e. May and June of last year then it will be a faster process.

Another way to look at it

Quarter-2015 Applications received NDVO time in months to process
Q1 Jan-March 1256 2 months
Q2 April-June 2366 4 months
Q3 July-Sep 1537 2.5 months
Q4 Sep-Dec 729 1 month

From where did you get the information that the government has 50 more FTEs for spouse cases? Is it for NDVO or CIC in Canada?

I have noticed ppl getting PPR 1 month after Re-med. Sometimes if u r lucky shorter time or even longer than 1 month.
