I am citizen of Afghanistan but was in India more than 6 months so I geta letter from NDVO saying they need police clearance from India
I spent all day today no one is giving it to me
Nabaaf help
Anyone please please help ??? ???

HI everyone I'm a silent reader and grateful for all the advice and encouragement being passed around....keep it up!!

Im a July applicant and had a quick question to senior members: when pr is issued, and the applicant lands in Canada to get stamped, do they have to live in Canada from that moment on? I understand within five years you have to live for 2 yrs minimum to keep your pr status, but are there any other rules that apply? Someone told me he has only 6 months from landing as pr in Canada to start living there..is that true? Why I'm asking is my husband whom I applied for has been offered a job in another country, so we're debating once his pr is issued whether to take that job for 1, 2 years max and then settle in Canada. Tried to research on the website but couldn't find any clear info.

If anyone knows info on this, It would be great! Thanks

You should get it from the local Commissioner Office from where you had stayed. For few states there is an option to apply it on line i suppose. Where did you stay in India?

Hello Poonie...
R u a citizen or pr holder??
according to my knwlegde ...
If u r a citizen thn aftr completing landing procedure fr ur husband thn u can move coz condition is staying with spouse fr two years....so incase of a citizen been sponsor....applicant can stay in any country with sponsor which would be counted as staying togethr and also minimum pr obligation conditions are accomplished....but to apply fr citizenship u hv to be physically present inside country fr required number of days....
If u r a pr holder (sponsor) thn to fullfill that conditional pr clause for applicant......u both need to be physically present inside the country.....
More experienced ppl in this situation will reply u soon....

Cheers :)

if u stay in Afghanistan go to embassy of India in Kabul, provide xerox copy of all documents such as FRO residential permit, c form, passport & visa copies and purpose of stay related documents ( make sure u have in hand original of these doc as well )and 2 passport size photos.
they will call u for collecting within a month, if not after a month directly go to embassy to receive it.
hope it can help u!!
best of luck!!
