NEW DELHI - 2015 SPOUSAL VISA APPLICANTS

I got married in December 2015.

My wife who is in India finally had all her certificates (police etc.) collected and ready to send me. I hope to have submit our application by around mid-March.

I have two questions:
1) I have just received my T-4 from my employer for the year 2015. I plan to file my taxes in this week. If I file my taxes this week, how long would I have to wait to call CRA to get my option-C for the year 2015? and how long does it take to get my option-C for the year 2015 provided I am going to file my taxes this week? What do you suggest is the best procedure? Go ahead and submit our application before getting my option C for the year 2015 (I already obtained option-C for the years 2014, 2013, 2012)? or wait till I get my option-C for the year 2015? I really look forward to submitting our application sooner than later, as we do not want to be away from each other for long time.

2) I believe my wife's police and medical clearance certificates are valid for year. Does that mean if her PR processing takes more than year, that she has to again get NEW police and medical certificates? I know she would have to get examined again for medical as CIC would get back asking for a re-medical if the processing takes more than year. How about police certificate?

i am a feb 2015 applicant too. My husband's interview is on march 7th one week from now on. Any idea how much time they take after a successful interview?

Hey,

Check the latest Document checklist. No more Option-C printout there. Now you have to submit Notice of assessment.

You can submit your application without 2015 tax return.

New PCC only requires if you live outside india more than 6 months.

How long does it usually take to get your passport back after ppr ?

Passport request : 16th Feb 2016
passport submitted: 22nd of Feb 2016 - VFS New Delhi

Longest is have known is six months
But dont worry routine case with no travel history takes only few weeks

Thank you for your reply. I just looked at it. Looks like option C is not needed anymore. So, I believe I need not wait for 2015 notice of assessment or option C, and can submit my application right away with my 2014 notice of assessment.

You said "New PCC only requires if you live outside india more than 6 months.". So, that means, my wife need not be bothered about getting another police clearance from India, if the processing takes more than 1 year? That's good to know.

What if she visits me to Canada on a visit visa and stays with me in Canada for more than 6 months?

In my case, when I did MP enquiry in the end of January 2016, they had not started security and criminality check by then. However, I got PPR on 22nd Feb, 2016, approximately 60 days after my re-medical, which was done on 19th Dec 2015. Did you have your remedical done? If yes, then may be wait 60 days. I my case it took 60 days to complete all security/criminality checks to be done. But, I have heard that it varies. Since you have passed eligibility, you should be getting DM/PPR soon.

Thanks a lot for your reply.. yes got remedical on Jan 28, completed it on Jan 30th.. So when you enquired in Jan.. had they already finished the eligibility? And passing eligibility means wont get an interview now right?

hi all congrats to those who got ppr and dm ..i m 22 april applicant med will exp on 16 march ...only one april applicant got dm...when i will hear from ndvo...its very hard to wait :(

worried and fedup to the core..:(((

i got my remedicals done on 25th January

but then got ADR for my marriage ertificate on 2nd february.

we did MP check yesterday and they said its gonna take few more months.

im a march applicant too.

my ADR deadline is 20th MArch .

It appears good in interview ......However ground reality is different. .......They make promises to impress people .....but what matters is implementing it .....and stop torturing the tax paying Canadians and their spouses.........
They say spousal visa is their priority however other categories getting visa(permanent) faster even in 6-7 months ,including applications processed in NDVO.
All other countries including US ,Australia ,UK processing spousal visa applications in 6-7 months (with interview).They also have huge number of applications .
According to the sources there are closely 185 family class visa officers working in NDVO in 2013 ,the number should have been increased to make processing faster.

Let's hope they implement the changes they are commiting.
