N yes it was 8 years of long distance courtship...n 1 year of marriage...
Documents which we applied were eversince we had some written or verbal communication. See the following list---

-emails since beginning till the daye we applied
-facebook chats since FB account started
-gchats
-skype chats screenshots showing the duration of chats i.e. showing how long we have talked whch was generally
-phone call details since we got official approval.
-photographs as follows....
1. Photographs although blurry ones...not so clear whenever he visited INDIA
2. Photographs with friends before wedding
3. Photographs of my Roka in india where he was not present but his entire family visited us.
4. Photographs of engagement showing the gathering and place where it occured
5. Photographs of the ladies sangeet on my side showing my family members completely involved in function
6. Photographs showing ol the customs involved in wedding like vattna, halfi,...in our case..choooora ceremony, gaanaa etc.
7. Photographs of wedding especially the gathering n hall decoration and palace name n vatering along with our rituals being performed.
8. Photographs of ny function or part attended with family. In my case i attended my brother-in-law's wedding jst 2 days later in our own house and a birthday of a kid in our house where pictures were clicked with family.
9. Holiday pictures
10. I forgot to mention watsapp chat ...
11. Photographs of visiting religious places especially golden temple with family
12. Photographs of visits to relatives and friends.
13. Photographs at the time my husband left india.


I hope it helped u guys to get an idea what can be done in case of any doubt.
N one more thing i wud like to tell everyone....i knw few knws abt it....bt still
U can travel to ny place in between the process without ny issues. Bcz i traveeled to hong kong for a vacation to meet my husband there in hong kong.

Hi everyone,

My wife is currently in Canada and her PR application is outside canada (the file is currently in New Delhi).

When the passport request comes, does my wife HAVE to return to India to submit passport, or will CIC allow her to submit passport in Canada?

Some people say that CIC gives option, but I wanted to know if CIC forces some people to ND.

Please share your thoughts. Thank you.

Hi, if your wife is in Canada, she can send her passport to Ottawa office, everything will be specify in the CIC mail. Don't worry :)

You can apply anytime, but before 10 months you will get nothing. :)
 
Who can apply for notes im lost.

Im.sponsoring my wife . I live in canada.can i apply for the notes? Or does my spouse needs to apply?

Hi can anyone help with my queries I submitted spousal visa application for outside of Canada on October 16 2015 at Mississauga office and my package was delivered on that day and it was received by someone at mail dept, but I haven't received Acknowledgement or any information regarding my application, so not sure what's going on, so my question is does anyone received any information regarding their application for spousal visa outside of Canada during October 2015 month??? Like anything file no etc.As it's say 60 days assessment process time but my is more then that, so plz help me with this matter.

Hey I'm also a February applicant and still I have not received any remedical request. My first medical expired on December 21st :(
 
Omg it's been exactly 1 year from today that I applied :(
I still haven't received remed request..... :( :(

You have to apply for NOTES. You need a consent form sign by your wife and you.

As per current processing time you have to apply for notes after 10-12 months. Right now they are processing jan-feb-march 2015 files.

Hi Suresh2016,

Do you have the tracking number which shows your file was delivered and signed by someone at CPC.I had gone through same issue.

CIC did not reply to me even tough processing time on the website was update for my application date.I sent the photocopy of the original file (again with the tracking number) with the cover letter explaining the situation and all the communication.Even one month after that CIC did not reply so i used my last resort and contacted my MP and explained the situation. I received AOR the same day i sent email to MP. I am not sure if it was coincidence.

I suggest if you have tracking number then you should write to your MP.I wold suggest to keep on following up with them.

Instances of CIC misplacing the file has increased considerably.
